Wysowa-Zdrój is a spa village nestled in the wildest of the Beskids, the Lowlands. At the end of the world, and yet in Europe. Life goes on slowly here, between the pump room of fragrant mineral waters, old Lemko cottages, old trees in the spa park, between the Feast of Ritz, spring and autumn transhumance, and farms where goats play the first fiddle. Right here in the sleepy spa town, at the centre of unhurried events, stands Stary Dom Zdrojowy (Old Spa House), a place for exceptional and demanding tourists. At the beginning of its existence, it served patients as a healing bath. Its splendour was overshadowed by years of war and communism. Over the years, its owners also changed. In the 1980s it became a cosy hotel with a café and finally regained its splendour.
It became our home and workplace in 2007. It is a place where we meet and get to know you - our guests and later our friends. It is a place where we serve you warm bread, lard, forest blueberry jam, unique cakes, Jewish cabbage soup with tomatoes, cepelins with sheep bryndza, Beskidy dumplings with lamb, croissants, scones, simplicity and Galician cordiality. It is a place where we sleep, eat and rest. It is a place from which we set off for walks in the surrounding extinct villages, along streams, along trails, and we return to it with wild pleasure. To the cosy and comfortably furnished rooms. Each of them has a different décor and atmosphere. Dominated by floral motifs, plank floors, armchairs from the 60s, walls as if from an old manor house and a view from the windows over the Zdrojowy Park and mineral water pump room.
Those who like crowded promenades and fashion catwalks are strongly advised against visiting. But for those who like walking on wild trails, horse riding, cycling, we recommend it with full confidence. And we can guarantee that they will be happy here, although coming here for the first time they may think: "what a remote area".

Basia i Kasia
We speak these languages: Polish, English
There are two of us. Basia and Kasia, mother and daughter. Not that we are alone. We have additions, even numerous ones. One husband and two sons. And a dedicated crew. We saw this land for the first time back in the last millennium. And it so happened that we were seduced by the charm of the area and stayed there forever. Absolutely unprepared for such a challenge. One of us was an educator, the other a political scientist. We threw off our ironed outfits, left the city and our lives behind and rushed into the unknown. Into the wildest Beskid. We will tell you the rest over breakfast one day...
