For many, the Kłodzko Valley is a blank spot on the map - untamed, unrelated to any romantic legend that we would hear about at school or from our grandmother. Such an unknown island, more like a promontory. In my head, I thought that if there is a valley, it must be somewhere in the mountains. The process began with deciphering what kind of mountain range it is. Not the Tatra Mountains, maybe somewhere in the Bieszczady Mountains. Nothing could be more wrong. This bit of ignorance about the Kłodzko Valley turned out in my favour. Goodbye to indulgent bazaars, ubiquitous curly ice cream and a string of kebab booths. Those who come here for the first time are delighted that they can feel like explorers like John of Kolno.
Szalejówka is located in the heart of the Kłodzko Valley, between Polanica and Kłodzko, away from the hustle and bustle and traffic. Once the road ends, there's only meadows, fields and forest. You have an exclusive 6-person house with a fireplace, a 20-metre terrace and everything in its vicinity, i.e. nature, peace and beautiful views.
Szalejówka and Szalka cottages are 50m away from each other, 200m from our house, our only neighbour is a farm cooperative, from where you can hear the sound of tractors. Roe deer and hares often come here, you will also meet wild boars, foxes and even martens. Birds are singing, insects fly, and we have mud here after the rain. In the winter, snow can fall up to your knees or higher. An ideal place for lovers of nature and a rural atmosphere.

In a wood-smelling house on the prairie. Here you can relax by the fireplace and experience true silence. Once you feel the country air, the cool breeze in the morning, deer and hares running past, see the sunset, the silence of the night and the shooting stars, you will come back here.
At your disposal are two separate bedrooms located on the first floor, a living room with a fireplace and a fold-out sofa, a bathroom and a kitchen where you can prepare all meals and make good coffee in an espresso machine. During your stay, we will make sure that you do not miss anything. The 20-meter terrace allows you to spend a lazy morning with a coffee, an afternoon with friends over a drink or an evening with a barbecue.
For longer autumn and winter evenings, we have prepared games for adults and family games (board games and others).
2 bedrooms are located in the upper part of the house, accessed by stairs. 2-seater with a double bed and 3-seater with 3 90 cm wide beds, all with super comfortable mattresses. We have installed blackout blinds in each bedroom, and in the summer we install insect nets.
On the ground floor, in the lounge area, there is a fold-out corner sofa that can sleep up to 2 people. The house is year-round, heated with hybrid heaters (convection and infrared), which will heat the house even without using a fireplace.
The village shop is a 5-minute walk away. In the village you will find a pond for keen anglers (you can fish with a fishing license), an outdoor gym, playgrounds for children, and an educational trail in Retropark. Within a 10-minute drive you can reach the Polanica-Zdrój health resort, where you can choose among restaurants and tourist attractions. It will also take 10 minutes to get to Kłodzko.
The price includes:

- bedding, toilet paper, a set of towels, a paper towel, hand soap and dishwashing liquid with a sponge, hair dryer
- parking space on the property,
- access to Wi-Fi, (fiber optic), terrestrial television and smart TV.
- heating (during the heating season, we will prepare firewood for you to make your evenings more pleasant.
Please note that the house is made of wood, so smoking is strictly prohibited. Be careful with smoking on the terrace. We don't want everything to go up in smoke.

We will not feed you personally, but we leave at your disposal a kitchen equipped with an induction hob, electric kettle, electric oven, large fridge with freezer, pressure coffee maker and plates, cutlery, glasses, cups, glasses, pots, frying pan, bowls, in short everything you need to prepare a delicious meal.
Polanica Zdrój and Kłodzko offer a wide selection of restaurants. We recommend:
- Restaurant at the Korona Hotel in Kłodzko, where you will eat delicious steaks, soups, burgers, ribs, in short - French elegance.
- La Nonna Restaurant in Polanica-Zdrój for Italian flavors.
- Polskie Smaki Restaurant in Polanica-Zdrój for smoked salmon and trout tartare, kwaśnica, salad with pumpkin and oscypek cheese and steaks.
- Tawerna Złota Rybka, which doesn't impress with its appearance, but they know how to prepare fish.
- Numerous and popular milk bars in Kłodzko: our favorite is Kryształowa, there is also Raj Smakosza and Pyza Kłodzka.
Boredom is not our thing. You can ride on numerous bike trails, cross-country skiing in winter. For explorers - search for 10 faces of the Kłodzko Valley, there are also a lot of monuments, natural monuments, observation towers, shelters, rope parks, fortresses, castles and palaces. Right behind the fence you can meet a deer, a hare, you can also listen to birds and observe the bigger ones in the sky, of which there are also many.
In the summer, after morning coffee with a beautiful view of the valleys, it's time for a walk with a basket. You can find mushrooms, flowers for a wreath or a wild bouquet. In the winter, skiing, snowboarding, throwing snowballs and a fireplace heated to red hot.

There will be everything that childhood is associated with. Running around meadows and playing from morning to late evening, with a short break for dinner. The yard is an entertainment center, an opportunity to develop imagination and unlimited fun away from adults. It is worth suggesting to children what interesting things they can do outside. Play football, jump rope, play gum, hide and seek. These are just some of the suggestions. A ball, gum, skipping rope, badminton rackets, bottle caps or caps, coins, pebbles will be useful for playing outside. Then just a few instructions and stories about what games looked like in your childhood and it turns out that children do not need phones, tablets and cartoon marathons. In Szalejówka for toddlers there are swings, a slide, a trampoline, grass, lots of space for madness and imagination. During the holidays, children love our swimming pool, it is large and available only to guests of our 2 cottages.
What’s there for employees?
In the cottage, where in the morning you will hear only birdsong, two people can work freely. There is a place for teleconferences at the kitchen table, and for catching up on overdue emails, we recommend the corner in the living room. In the summer, you can set up an office in a hammock or on the terrace. Here, you can also hit reset, because all around us are fields, forests and meadows.
