For many, the Kłodzko Valley is a blank spot on the map - untamed, unrelated to any romantic legend that we would hear about at school or from our grandmother. Such an unknown island, more like a promontory. In my head, I thought that if there is a valley, it must be somewhere in the mountains. The process began with deciphering what kind of mountain range it is. Not the Tatra Mountains, maybe somewhere in the Bieszczady Mountains. Nothing could be more wrong. This bit of ignorance about the Kłodzko Valley turned out in my favour. Goodbye to indulgent bazaars, ubiquitous curly ice cream and a string of kebab booths. Those who come here for the first time are delighted that they can feel like explorers like John of Kolno.
Szalejówka is located in the heart of the Kłodzko Valley, between Polanica and Kłodzko, away from the hustle and bustle and traffic. Once the road ends, there's only meadows, fields and forest. You have an exclusive 6-person house with a fireplace, a 20-metre terrace and everything in its vicinity, i.e. nature, peace and beautiful views.
Szalejówka and Szalka cottages are 50m away from each other, 200m from our house, our only neighbour is a farm cooperative, from where you can hear the sound of tractors. Roe deer and hares often come here, you will also meet wild boars, foxes and even martens. Birds are singing, insects fly, and we have mud here after the rain. In the winter, snow can fall up to your knees or higher. An ideal place for lovers of nature and a rural atmosphere.

In the Kłodzko Valley, I found my place on earth. After wandering around the world for a long time, I wanted to stay right here. I've always dreamed of a cottage in the countryside. I grew up in Szczecin, lived in Poznań, Kołobrzeg, London, and I was carried around in Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico and the United States. Nowhere was like it is here. Peace and quiet, everything slower, more careful. When I managed to fulfil my first dream and build our house with my husband, it was time for new challenges. In the end, we decided to build a second home and share our little heaven on earth. Probably some could turn up their noses at the mud after rain, in autumn there's more moisture than trees, it's cooler in summer, colder in winter, there is nothing here in this village, even a completely rural access road. However, this is where dreams come true. So be careful what you wish for :) Come and look for 10 heads (which are really here), and you can also "refresh" or "find" yours. Don't hesitate, every season has its charms.
