When you come here in your free time, even for a short weekend, make yourself a coffee, listen to the silence, look into the distance, where you can see Śnieżka, and sometimes also Śnieżne Kotły. The view is spectacular. It was this wonderful surrounding nature that inspired me to design an (eco) house and its interior. It all connects. Or, as the famous artist Hans Vis once told me: "It all breathes together."
Where will I stay?
Four sleeping options are waiting for you:
-Apartment - located on the ground floor of an old barn and can accommodate 2 people. The apartment is divided into a kitchen with a living room at the front and a bedroom at the rear with a double bed. The bathroom is in the middle and separates the two spaces. There is a fireplace in the living room, which not only adds atmosphere, but also warms the apartment.
- Loft - you have to go up the stairs, because it's on the first floor. The apartment has 2 double bedrooms, one triple and one single bedroom, and a niche under the stairs with a single bed, so it can easily accommodate 9 people. You will also find a lounge with a fireplace, a comfortable sofa and several seating areas. Next to the equipped kitchen there is a large table so that everyone can sit down together to eat. The spacious bathroom has a Moroccan mosaic, a wash basin and a shower cabin. The main bedroom has a double bed, a fireplace that can also be used as a stove, sink and basic kitchen utensils. The second bedroom is on the same level and the third bedroom is on the top floor in the attic. Both have two single beds. Additionally, the bed for the seventh person, which is located in the niche under the stairs, can be separated by a curtain from the main part of the living room, thanks to which we gain privacy.
-Camping - you can also come with your own equipment and pitch a tent in my garden. I will provide you with electricity, bathroom, kitchen and a great holiday.

How to spend time?
Canoeing is just around the corner. The Bóbr River has been attracting tourists and nature lovers for hundreds of years. If you start here you just pass the small town of Wlen and from there you don't see any houses anymore. Simply nature, the calming flow of clear water overlooking kingfishers and dragonflies.
In this part of Lower Silesia, hiking is becoming more and more popular. Numerous trails lead through forests and hills, and the mountains are not very high. It is also a wonderful environment for not very professional hikers. You can rent an e-bike from my neighbors.
After returning from your adventures, there are several ponds in the valley where you can swim and cool off in a natural pool in a 6000 m2 garden of Tarczyna. Or just crash in one of the hammocks hanging in the shade of the plums.
Is it kid-friendly?
There is enormous potential for your kids to spot a few deer or a fox.
The number of bird species is amazing. The valley is famous for its owls.
Birds of prey are always hunting outside the house. Swallows fly in and out of the barn. Even in the bar they nest and you can see parents feeding their young swallows.
In the garden, trees that you can climb, build a hut, jump into the pool, bathe, the role of the hill, collect flowers, chase butterflies, and at night ... light a fire.
Your baby will then sleep soundly and sweetly.

First of all: I strongly suggest NOT to visit during freezing conditions (winter time). This is important to be on top of the review. We stayed 30.12 - 03.01 for NYE in the Loft. It is located on first floor above other apartments and has three separate bedrooms + big common area with fireplace and a kitchen. There is one toilet combined with shower available. First of all, the positives: - location is beautiful and views from the window are stunning - interior is rustical but in good condition, there is art on the walls - beds are OK, we used additional bedding we brough with ourselves though - toilet has a floor heating which makes a big difference during colder periods of the year - WiFi connection is enough to allow remote working - outside area must be beautiful when green, it was snowing when we came though so cannot say much about it rather than it offers great hiking opportunities Then we have to talk about the negatives: - at our arrival, the entire loft was freezing cold; and I mean: first 24 hours there was 10°C in the kitchen (we measured). The owner has started a fire in the living room but it should have been burning 100% of capacity at least 24h in advance to make this place livable, which it wasn't. We burned literally 100s of kgs of wood before the temperature has risen to an acceptable level and it took an effort of 6 people who constantly fed the fire and carried wood upstairs like crazy just to maintain the civil temperature - there were additional heaters (few) which were 30+ years old, not only they did not make much of a difference but in my opinion pose a fire hazard because of old cables and broken switches - as our friends were arriving a day later, I contacted the owner and told him we need to buy additional heaters for which he agreed; my friends went a 1h detour to get them - from 4 of those we could use 1 fully and 1 in half capacity (3400W) as the maximum amperage for the entire loft is 25 amp (25A x 230V = 5750W including kitchen appliencies, lights, floor heating etc.). We had power outages all the time and had to organize cables to get electricity from another circuit in the kitchen downstairs, the owner didn't help us at all with that - be mindful: kitchen is equipped with four gas burners, tiny pizza-like oven and microwave. There is no oven to bake anything, FYI The most disappointing was not even the temperature which was absolutely unacceptable (1/3 of our group is sick now after returning home) but the owner's attitude. Not only he insisted that NOBODY has ever complained about temperature in the past 16 years (big doubt) and we should simply be patient as it will eventually get warmer (it did, but it took us extra effort, a lot of work and additional heaters we bought ourselves). He suggested going for a walk to warm up (snowing, freezing conditions) and apart of showing us where wood and electrical switches were, did not actively help with anything during the stay. He did not assist us with lighting a fire efficiently in the other room, did not help with wood, simply did not care and made us feel bad that we even complained. This is absolutely unacceptable. We know Slow Hop and it's core values, we know that it is not a full service hotel but an old building with soul. But letting people freeze on arrival is another level. Those apartments should never be rented during winter conditions, full stop. We came to have a fun time and have a break from city life, what we got is survival conditions and additional work we didn't agree on. Putting some wood to burn to keep nice atmosphere and temperature is fine, heating the entire place with wood is unbareable, not enough (additional heaters were needed, especially in second floor bedrooms) and not what we anticipated to find there. There has to be a heating oven with pellets or similar before you go there during winter time. I have absolutely no clue why the owner thought it was fine to accept those circumstances, it is a mistery to me still. We expressed our problems with respect and even worked on a solution ourselves but had an impression, he didn't care anymore about the place, about our wellbeing and about such comment which it was clear I will leave afterwards. I heard that this place is being sold and that would explain a lot. In the end, I think Taras Tarczyn Loft is great for groups of 6 during summer time. It offers great views, nice interior and good location. During winter though it should be avoided at all costs. You will not have great time there.

We've stayed for two days in the Dutch room. Right off the bat, we've been greeted by the neighbor's dog which, as if just waiting for this opportunity, showed us around the house. The place has an incredible atmosphere, like out of a fable, with all of the rooms really inspiring imagination. There are two lovely, friendly cats. The place is very quaint, peaceful, yet with cities not far, so shopping should not be a problem. Although Urian wasn't there to greet us, he was very communicative, helpful and we still felt his welcoming presence. We highly recommend the place to anyone!

Przepiękne miejsce, idealne na wypoczynek. Cisza, spokój i niesamowity widok na okolicę – dokładnie to, czego potrzeba, by na chwilę odetchnąć od codzienności. Wszystko urządzone z dużym smakiem i wyczuciem – przytulnie, klimatycznie i z pomysłem. Widać, że właściciel włożył w to miejsce serce i ma artystyczne spojrzenie na detale. Zdecydowanie polecam każdemu, kto szuka chwili wytchnienia w wyjątkowym otoczeniu!

Taras Tarczyn to miejsce pełne spokoju, ciszy i bliskości natury. Niesamowite widoki o wschodzie i zachodzie słońca zapierają dech w piersiach, a okolica sprzyja długim spacerom – także z psem. Gospodarz, pełen serdeczności i spokoju, tworzy atmosferę, w której można naprawdę odpocząć.
