Targoszówka - Stara Obora

In the middle of the Niepołomicka Forest, there are several farms in the Wielkie Błoto Clearing. One of them is Targoszówka - a habitat consisting of several buildings: the barn which is our home, the Old Barn and the Old House. The clearing is surrounded on all sides by the Forest. The Stara Obora cottage is 45 m2 and has a mezzanine with a double bed. In addition, there are two bedrooms (each with a double bed), a bathroom and a living room with a kitchenette. Long mornings smoothly turning into lazy afternoons can be spent on the covered porch or the yard in front of the cottage. You will also find a place for a bonfire with grill. On the terrace there is a table with chairs, a hammock and deckchairs are also at your disposal.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals. There is a two-burner electric hob, fridge with a small freezer compartment, coffee machine, kettle, toaster. You also don't have to worry about dishes, glasses, pots and pans - everything is there, even cups for your morning coffee will be there. There are also basic kitchen items in the cabinets, such as salt, pepper, oil, sugar, and additionally a jar of coffee for the coffee machine. We recommend you two pubs in the area where we are frequent guests ourselves. Both serve delicious, home-made dishes of our native cuisine: - U Jedynaka Restaurant (Zabierzów Bocheński 541) - Smak Bar Niepołomice on the national road 75 The Receptura Niepołomice Restaurant (ul. Bocheńska 1A) has recently been opened nearby - it is elegant and tasty. So far, we have only tried the traditional pork chops and tartare there - we can recommend it with a clear conscience!

In fact, this place is just to allow yourself a good dose of boredom, understood as a positive phenomenon. Homely entertainment reigns here - we have golf clubs and badminton equipment, and on our 3 hectares you can lay down on a blanket among the grass, sunbathe on a deckchair or have a family picnic. In the habitat, time flows differently, and the nature around is amazing and attracts the attention of even stubborn townspeople. However, it is not that there is nothing to do with us! After all, we are in the heart of the forest, and thus we have the best possible conditions for exploring it. The Niepołomice Forest is littered with trails and roads, both gravel and asphalt. You can visit it by bike or on foot. We recommend you to take a trip to Czarny Staw, located in the eastern part of the Forest (about 11 km from the cottage). According to our calculations, it takes (for us) 36 minutes to get there by bike, and about 2 hours one way on foot. There are several pools in the vicinity of Targoszówka, pleasing to the eye, but you cannot bathe in them, we warn you. However, if on a warm day you want to cool down, you can go to the Bobrowe Rozlewisko (around 20 minutes by bike). It is a reservoir prepared with the locals and tourists in mind, there is a guarded beach, a restaurant, a park of attractions for children, and outdoor exercise equipment for adults. There is also a separate pool for anglers where they can indulge in their hobby in peace. Admission is paid. It is also a stone's throw from our habitat to Niepołomice itself (in this case it is 8 km). There, it is worth seeing the castle, where the kings stopped when they came to the forest for hunting. Niepołomice can also be of interest to cyclists and cycling enthusiasts - here the picturesque bicycle route begins (or ends), which leads along the Vistula river, from Niepołomice through Krakow, to the Tyniec Abbey. One way trip is about 40 km. You can always jump from the Forest to the city - Krakow is a 20-minute drive from us. It is also close to the salt mines in Wieliczka and Bochnia, so our place is also a good starting point for exploring the wonders of Małopolska.
