In the clearing of Wielkie Błoto, in the middle of the Niepołomice Forest, stand several houses. Among them is our peaceful Targoszówka, which is three buildings which we decided to bring back to life. The first is the barn, in which, after renovation, we ourselves lived. From the old cowshed, we slowly created a place for our increasingly frequent visitors. Finally, the time came for the third building. Stary Dom (Old House) takes its guests back to the time of our grandparents. We left all the old-fashioned solutions untouched and preserved the atmosphere of an old country cottage. When passing through the doors of some rooms, you have to "bow" to them. - We have kept the original (i.e. small) dimensions of the door openings. You can live like you used to live in the countryside. We made only one exception: unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), we resigned from an outhouse and introduced a non-standard element inside - a bathroom. I don't think anyone will hold it against us. We are in the wilderness, and therefore we have year-round access to views straight from the National Geographic: in April, there are herons and storks, in September, deer call loudly on the roar. In summer, a herd of deer and roe deer crosses our meadows. There is no internet connection, and we get a rash when we hear the word "TV". We advise you to surrender to the charm of nature for a few days and forget about the technological achievements of civilisation for the sake of your health. It is worth going mushroom picking (after all, we live in a mushroom paradise, where you can see chanterelles from afar on the meadows), fishing (we will tell you where), walking the length and breadth of the forest tracking wild animals. Spread a blanket on the grass and listen to the birds. Come and relax in the wilderness.

We are a married couple who escaped the city and created our own little paradise on earth. We settled in the middle of the Niepołomice Primeval Forest, in a place called Polana Wielkie Błoto. We have revived the buildings of the old homestead and can finally invite you to Stara Obora and Stary Dom to experience the closeness of the forest as we did.

There are several farms in Polana Wielkie Błoto, surrounded by a forest. One of them is Targoszówka - a habitat consisting of three buildings: the barn which is our home, the Old Barn and the Old House. The Old House measures 120 m2. They say that it is a typical "grandmother's house" - it is idyllic and rural. We have restored the ground floor, keeping as much as possible of the original, so sometimes the clay crumbles here and there, and its crumbs fall off the walls painted with lime and land on the floor. This is our atmosphere. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, a living room, two corridors, a bathroom and a bedroom with a double bed and its own bathroom. We have also arranged the attic, which now houses two comfortable bedrooms (each with one double bed and one single bed). A small hall in the attic is a great place to relax for kids on rainy days. Long mornings smoothly turning into lazy afternoons can be spent on the covered porch or in the yard in front of the cottage. You will also find a place for a bonfire with grill. On the terrace there is a table with chairs, there is also a hammock, sun loungers and two rocking chairs.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals. In the cupboards there are dishes and basic kitchen items such as salt, pepper, oil, sugar, and additionally a coffee jar for the coffee machine. We recommend you two pubs in the area where we are frequent guests ourselves. Both serve delicious, home-made dishes from our native cuisine (addresses below). The Receptura Niepołomice Restaurant (ul. Bocheńska 1A) has recently been opened nearby - it is elegant and tasty. So far, we have only tried the traditional pork chops and tartare there - we can recommend it with a clear conscience!

You can laze around here or explore the forest. Homely entertainment reigns here - we have badminton equipment, and on our 3 hectares you can lie down on a blanket among the grass, sunbathe on a deckchair or have a family picnic. We also provide access to our private pond where you can swim. On one side there is a small beach with a gentle descent into the water, and on the other there is a floating jetty from which your children can happily jump on the bomb. Time flows differently in the habitat, and the surrounding nature is amazing and attracts the attention of even hardened city dwellers. We are in the heart of the forest, and therefore we have the best possible conditions for exploring it. The Niepołomice Forest is full of trails and roads, both gravel and asphalt. You can explore it by bike or on foot. We recommend, for example, a trip to Czarny Staw, located in the eastern part of the Forest (about 11 km from the cottage). According to our calculations, it takes 36 minutes to get there by bike and about 2 hours one way on foot. In the closer vicinity of Targoszówka there are several pools, nice to look at, but you cannot swim in them, we warn you. However, if you want to cool off on a warm day, you can ride to Bobrowe Rozlewisko (about 20 minutes by bike). It is a reservoir prepared for locals and tourists, there is a guarded beach, a restaurant, an attraction park for children, and outdoor exercise equipment for adults. There is also a separate pool for anglers, where they can enjoy their hobby in peace. Admission is paid. From our place, it is also a stone's throw to Niepołomice (a stone's throw in this case is 8 km). There it is worth seeing the castle where kings stayed when they came to the forest for hunting. Niepołomice may also be of interest to cyclists and cycling enthusiasts - this is where the picturesque bicycle route begins (or ends), which leads along the Vistula River, from Niepołomice through Kraków, to the Abbey in Tyniec. The one-way route is approximately 40 km. You can always go to the city from Puszcza - Krakow is 20 minutes away. It is also close to the salt mines in Wieliczka and Bochnia, so our place is also a good base for visiting the wonders of Małopolska.

What’s there for children?

There are no sophisticated attractions here, but there is space and great surroundings. We have some animals that kids love to watch, follow and stroke. We are in the countryside, and more specifically in a village located in the forest, and Mother Nature is the best animator here. Children have a free hand to explore the meadows, lots of time to explore the surrounding nature and lots of space to play.

Here Slowhop will describe what’s there for children. If you want, you can also fill it in or edit the text.

How do I get there?

Icon Car

Our address: , , Lesser Poland Province, Poland

Translated by Google Translate.

We always contact us and send detailed information on how to get to us. We send a pin with the address of the Packaging Factory in Dąbrowa to which you should follow. Of course, we pass the Packaging Factory and follow the road, the point is to find ourselves on this forest road. Passing the Factory (it looks rather like small PRL buildings, which have already had their splendor behind them), we follow the road through the Forest, then you will see Polana Wielkie Błoto, driving straight behind the road you will come directly to our gate where there is a parking lot Targoszówki.

REGULATIONS SEDLISKO TARGOSZÓWKA Dear Guest, by making a reservation you confirm that you agree to the following rules: 1. By renting a house in the Targoszówka habitat, you decide to relax in the countryside. However, you must know that life in the countryside follows a different path, you will not experience the noise of the city here, but everyday life goes on here. Both we and our neighbors have our responsibilities and sometimes we have to mow the grass or chop wood, water the flowers and weed the beds. During the day, you will sometimes hear the sounds of a mower, a saw, a tractor, and the neighbor's son, fascinated by motoring, will sometimes ride his motorcycle. As is typical in the countryside, we have more animals, both large and small. There are certainly more insects such as mosquitoes, flies and bees, we have chickens, cats and dogs. The chickens roam around the yard on their own, so they will visit you on the terrace. Our cats and dogs love people, so don't be surprised if they regularly visit you in your rented house. 2. The reservation is confirmed by a prepayment of 30% of the order value, payable after confirming the date, to the indicated bank account. In case of cancellation of arrival, the prepayment is not refunded, but you can always change the date so that the deposit is not lost. 3. Upon check-in, a rental agreement is signed with the person making the reservation. In order to confirm identity, the Guest is obliged to present a document with a photo. 4. The remaining amount is paid upon arrival and handover of the house, in cash on site or by bank transfer three days before arrival. 5. The minimum rental period is at least 2 days (3 days); during the holiday period 6 days (7 days). 6. Check-in from 16:00, check-out until 10:00. 7. Children up to 2 years old live for free. We do not accept tourist vouchers. 8. The price list for renting houses depends on the number of people that must be declared at the time of booking and the offer is prepared based on it. An additional fee of PLN 1,000 will be charged for each unregistered person who is allowed into the rented cottage "in the wild". 9. For stays longer than 7 days, upon request, we can provide our guests with a washing machine free of charge, as well as replace towels. 10. Noisy parties, stag parties, etc. are prohibited on the property. Disturbing the peace and not complying with the regulations will result in immediate termination of the rental agreement, without refund, and we must say goodbye to our guests. 11. Siedlisko Targoszówka has two houses for rent, Stary Dom and Stara Obora. The cottages are located in such a way that guests do not disturb each other, but we ask you to respect each other's spaces that have been separated and are adjacent to the cottages and our private area. Everyone comes to rest. 12. After 10 p.m. please avoid excessive noise. 13. The houses are wooden and flammable, so we go outside for a smoke, each house is equipped with fire extinguishers. 14. Unfortunately, our pets do not tolerate the presence of other strange animals. We are sorry, but even though we love animals, we do not want to add additional stress to our pets and not every pet can stay with us. The pet's stay must be agreed individually. 15. The day before your planned arrival, please contact us to arrange the arrival time. 16. Our farm segregates waste and we care about ecology, so we also require this from our guests. 17. For children, it is a paradise of space and a lot of new things that they want to touch and see. However, children under 12 years of age should be under constant supervision of guardians, i.e. parents. Unfortunately, parents are financially responsible for any damage caused by children. 18. Dear guest, we provide you with our place, prepared and equipped as if we were doing it for ourselves. Respect all things as at home. For any damage, you will be charged the cost of repairing or buying it back.

Wspaniałe miejsce i wspaniali ludzie. To już moja druga wizyta i równie udana. Okoliczna puszcza zapewnia świetny wypoczynek i dodatkowo prywatny staw - bajka.

Rowery to must have!

Stary Dom świetnie urządzony w swojskim klimacie i w pełni wyposażony - niczego tam nie brakuje do codziennego funkcjonowania. Cisza i spokój dookoła. Blisko trasy rowerowe, spacerowe i mnóstwo miejsc do zwiedzania Z całego serca polecamy!
