Villa Greta

Translated automatically with Google Translate

All through Grandma Greta, who could not imagine a day without cake and eating local produce. On this story, our guesthouse is solidly built. The foundation is of a tradition, and the interior of passion for travel. It stands in Dobkowie, a nineteenth-century village like Pan Tadeusz, where the orchards smelt of apples, the rocks are still agates, children feel like in a magical land outside of this world, where marmalade can be fingered.

The Kaczawskie Mountains, the Sudety Mountains and our fulfilled love for food await anyone wishing to create more parts of this history ...

Ewelina Rozpędowska

This story begins 130 years ago, when the house was in our family. But the most interesting happened after the war, when grandfather Janek returned from Siberia and fell in love with grandmother Greta. She was German with a deportation order, but her grandfather in love hid her in the attic and then asked for her hand. They lived in Grandma Greta's family home and have already stayed here.

And then we came: Ewelina and Krzysztof. We met in Pakistan and settled in Dobków, our family home in Lower Silesia, tame the long, family history and great walls, creating a guesthouse filled with children's laughter and curiosity. Welcome!

Where will I sleep?

Rooms preserved in pre-war style maintain the home atmosphere. Silence and tranquility will put you to bed and wake up only to the legendary reportedly breakfast.

We have to offer 48 beds. In each room there are towels, and the beds are covered with satin sheets.

9 comfortable en suite rooms await...
Greta, Family, Lavender, Rosemary, Heather, Apricot, Yellow, Olive and Cornflower.
A Kaczawski studio apartment with a kitchenette was also prepared. Each of them has its own unique rustic decor,

Just next to the Grety is located Arnold House, where we have at your disposal 3 apartments of type M2: Agate, Lipowy and Dołębnik, with kitchenettes.

On Arnold's ground floor, children can express their emotions and creativity in two playrooms.
The restaurant and café located in Villa Greta are attracted by the smell and the countryside. Right next to the fireplace room, guests find a library of knowledge in the form of books and maps of nearby places. We are also there and will gladly answer all your questions :)

What will I eat?

Our kitchen has a moral backbone. All meals and snacks are based on what we grow in our own garden or we find in the surrounding hosts. We do not use flavor improvers and preservatives. Slow Food Polska and Gault & Millau support us.

What does it mean? The scent of country bread and freshly roasted...
coffee will be mercilessly attracted from the early morning into the dining areas. Breakfast included in the buffet includes all the healthiest, lunches are to be kept in mind for children and parents forever. For the quality of food we will cut ourselves head.

Café is a great temptation, we admit to this openly. Fresh donuts, rhubarb buns and herbal teas. For dinner dumplings, fried cabbage, cepelin, dove - what the soul desires. Home compost stays on the tongue until late at night.

We do not neglect anyone: neither vegetarians, vegans and people on diet, nor the youngest of the nooks.

What will I do?

We are a little bored in our Silesian. Sit under the apple tree with a cup of coffee and your favorite book while kids are running around the backyard. However, if you want to have some activity then we have some aces in your sleeve.

What in the area?
- Just within walking distance you can visit the...
craft ecomuseum, go to the "Three volcanic periods" or go on a chapel trail. Numerous creative workshops for children and adults are organized in the area
- ride a country carriage ride through the volcanic land
In winter we will be happy to organize sleigh rides, and after a camp fire. Nearby areas are suitable for mountain bikers as well as for family cycling trips. Not far from Villa there are also studs, adored by children.
- visit the Sudeten Science Reserve
- Mineral Search Workshops
- Jizera Mountains for Cross-country skiing
- Sudety for downhill runs
- Dobk on a sled

Getting away from Dobkov we can visit numerous castles, glassworks and gold museum. These are often visited places, well adapted for the youngest tourists, in winter Lysa Góra invites skiers and those who want to start their adventure on the white slopes, Kaczewskie Mountains, Giant Mountains, Sudetes - there amateurs of mountain hiking will find themselves like fish in the water.

What's for children?

Villa Greta is for children. It was appreciated by the writer Rafał Kosik, who wrote the book "Felix, Net and Nika and the Third Cousin". We want the youngest guests to come back to us with their children, so we use the following tricks:
- playground (adored by pupils)
- 30 meter tyrolka (love the favorite)
trampoline and pool
- Large play area for play and hide
- a labyrinth in the garden
- winter ski schools and downhill slopes for anything.
All year round, there are workshops for children and parents. Collectively we forget about computer games and we sit in the air. And by the way a little education: nearby museums and other objects is not only a treasure of knowledge but also great fun for small explorers.

Miejsce spokojne i niezwykle urokliwe. Czas biegnie wolniej. Gospodarze i cała ekipa otwarci, ciepli, elastyczni na nasze potrzeby i jednocześnie pozostawiają przestrzeń do intymności. Jedzenie przepyszne!!! Jest co robić i dla dzieciaków i dorosłych. Okolica na spacery i poznawanie przyrody i historii wymarzona. Gorąco polecamy!

Miejsce ogólnie ciche. Pokój czysty i wszystko działa, wyposażenie ok. Jedzenie dobre. Szkoda tylko, że na podwórzu jest parking. Miejsce na samochody powinno być bardziej na uboczu, a podwórko dla ludzi.

Wspaniałe miejsce żeby zwolnić i odpocząć w kameralnej dolnośląskiej wsi wśród przyrody i w otoczeniu uroczych ludzi.

Miejsce przyjazne dzieciom, jednocześnie zapewniające ciszę i spokój. Pokoje są czyste, jedzenie przepyszne, obsługa i właściciele bardzo mili i profesjonalni. Bardzo się cieszymy, że odkryliśmy to miejsce i mamy nadzieję, że niedługo znowu spędzimy tam wakacje.

Miejsce warte polecenia. Niezwykle przyjazne miejsce, dla dorosłych i dla dzieci. Spokój, luźna atmosfera i pierwszorzędna kuchnia. I pies Azor, który chętnie towarzyszy spacerowiczom :) Na pewno kiedyś jeszcze tam się wybierzemy.

Naprawdę wspaniałe miejsce. Przyjemna, swobodna atmosfera, ciekawa okolica, mili właściciele i przepyszne, różnorodne jedzenie na bazie lokalnych produktów.
