It's all because of grandma Greta, who could not imagine a day without cake and eating local products. Our guesthouse stands solidly on this history. The foundation is based on tradition and the interior is decorated according to a passion for travel. It stands in Dobków, a nineteenth-century village like from Pan Tadeusz, where orchards smell of apples, there are still agates in the rocks, children feel like they're in a magical land from outside this world, where you can eat marmalade with your fingers.
The Kaczawskie Mountains, the Sudetes and our fulfilled love of food await anyone who wants to create new parts of this story...
Rooms preserved in pre-war style maintain the atmosphere of home. Peace and quiet will put you to bed and wake you up only for the legendary breakfast.
We offer 53 beds (up to 77 with extra beds). Towels are provided in each room and the beds are covered with satin sheets.

The restaurant and cafe located in Villa Greta attract with their scent and rural atmosphere. Right next to it, in the fireplace room, guests can find a treasure trove of knowledge in the form of books and maps about nearby places. We are there too and we are happy to answer all your questions :)
Around the house there is a large old orchard with a playground and several hectares of meadows.
Our cuisine has a moral backbone. We base all meals and snacks on what we grow in our own garden or find at local farmers'. We do not use flavor enhancers or preservatives. We are supported by Slow Food Polska and Gault & Millau.
What does it mean? The smell of country bread and freshly roasted coffee will mercilessly attract you to the dining area from early morning. Breakfasts served in the form of a buffet contain everything that is the healthiest, lunches are to remain in the memory of children and parents forever. We will give our heads for the quality of the food.
The café is a great temptation, we admit it openly. Fresh doughnuts, rhubarb buns and herbal tea from the home herbarium. For dinner, pierogi, fried cabbage, cepelinai, cabbage rolls - whatever your heart desires. Homemade compote stays on the tongue until late at night.
We do not disrespect anyone: neither vegetarians, vegans and people on a diet, nor the youngest fussy eaters. PLEASE NOTE :-) The restaurant is closed during Christmas and Easter.
It's good to be bored in our Silesian retreat. Sit under an apple tree with a cup of coffee and your favorite book while the children run around the garden. However, if you want to be a bit active, we have a few tricks up our sleeve.

What’s there for children?
Villa Greta is for children. This was appreciated by the writer Rafał Kosik, who wrote the book "Felix, Net and Nika and the Third Cousin". We want the youngest guests to come back to us with their children one day, so we use the following tricks:
- sledding hill right next to the house
- a large meadow and garden for building snowmen and building igloos
- several types of creative workshops every day conducted by enthusiasts, artists, craftsmen and naturalists in Villa Greta Dobków and nearby villages. The workshop schedule can be found now at gorykaczawskie.pl/wydarzenia/
- playground (loved by children)
- 30 meter zip line (absolute favorite)
- trampoline
- a large area for playing tag and hide and seek
- maze in the garden
Workshops for children and parents are organized throughout the year. We collectively forget about computer games and sit outside. And a bit of education at the same time: nearby museums and other facilities are not only a treasure trove of knowledge, but also great fun for little explorers.
What’s there for employees?
We have as many as 8 common spaces at your disposal, including 3 gazebos, pergolas, coach houses, restaurants and two rooms. In all of these places, the tables are movable and can be adjusted to the guests' preferences. In the summer, our guests are often children, so working outside can be problematic. The solution, however, are two lockable rooms, in which "disruptors" of various kinds will not have access during your work.
Each of the four apartments has tables and large, comfortable work desks. There are 9 rooms in Villa Greta itself, with tables in them.
