The action of this family story takes place in Osieki Lęborskie, in this part of the coast that successfully defends itself against the swelling wave of resort fanatics, not far from the most beautiful and almost deserted Baltic beaches. Apart from exceptional natural values, Osieki has thick volumes of history. The golden chapter in the table of contents belongs to the von Krockow family. The counts lived in a beautiful palace, of which no trace remains today. However, a few monuments have survived to this day: a church with a stone baptismal font, a granary, a folk house, a kindergarten, a former restaurant and two presbyteries. Our house is located in one of them.
Dom w Osiekach (House in Osieki) is inextricably linked with my grandparents. The turmoil of war brought them here from the ends of Poland. Grandfather Stanisław irretrievably lost his family property Jeleniec near Lublin, and grandmother Alicja had to leave the Bodzanówek manor house near Warsaw, where she grew up to be a lady and a talented pianist. In Pomerania, my grandfather became the Main Breeder of the Plant Breeding Station in Gdańsk Potato Breeding. Grandma also worked in the breeding farm, but there was music in her heart all the time. She composed and organized song and dance groups. They were allocated an apartment in a large house from 1936. It is the aforementioned presbytery, or rather the pastoral house of the Evangelical church.
They created a house full of love, bustling with life. To each other, to people, plants and animals, and most importantly, they managed to pass this art of perceiving the world to the next generations. Now I am fulfilling my promise to my grandparents. After renovations, the green shutters have returned to their place, the house is visited by friendly people, and we, like our grandparents several decades ago, live here taking care of everything. We are above, you are below.
We have two apartments for you, the name and design of which refer to grandfather Staszek and grandma Ala. We are still wondering how she managed to transport all the furniture, piano and a whole box of photos from Bodzanówek to Osieki, but thanks to this you will find authentic family mementoes from generations ago at home.
We invite you to Kashubia, 5 km from the sea, to an orchard full of plums and walnuts. For a home that smells like apple pie, for an interior with history in the background.

Kaśka i Dagmar
We speak these languages: Polish, English, Russian
This is us - Kaśka and Dagmar, hosts of "W Osiekach", bravely supported by our St. Bernard, Drops, Golden Retriever Sol. I inherited the former pastor's house from my grandparents who created a real haven here. They managed to conjure up a house with a soul from the old presbytery. They instilled in me that hospitality, cordiality and warmth are the features that win people over. It was always an open house, nothing has changed. We live upstairs, we welcome you downstairs. We knew that when it comes to renovations, history is respected. The colour of the house is only refreshed, green shutters have appeared, which are a nod to the past, but also a promise made to my grandparents. The name and design of the apartments refer to places and times so close to them. Blooming tulips, magnolias, rustling willows, the smell of apple pie and the music of the piano - we share my family history with you and continue the tradition of this place. Memories and beautiful stories of grandparents from the old days settled in Osieki forever.
