Behind seven meadows, behind seven bushes, an hour's drive from Łódź, three-quarters of an hour from Warsaw, sunken among the grasses, stands a hundred-year-old house with a hundred-year-old working bread oven. Inside, it's not so quiet anymore, magic happens there and you can try a cultural cocktail - there are amazing colors brought from Iran, Balkan decorations, Dutch love for nature, Latvian love for simple cuisine and highlander paintings on glass.
Here bread was baked and shared love, now he shares his love of travel and eats fudge with a heavenly taste of salted caramel. In the garden, a sprawling lime tree seems to say: "Sit under my leaf and it will rest! The sun will not get you here, I promise you", inviting you to an afternoon reading or a nap in the shade.
At home, you can play detective and try to find an icon painted on a board with red wine paints, making its colors appear velvety. You can lie down in the grass, drown in reading or go for a walk. You can also apply the emergency brake and take a break from the daily rush - staring at the clouds helps in this.
All around, silence sowed like poppy seeds, morning dew on the grass that cools my bare feet, and sunsets on the horizon such that hats off. It is worth coming, envelop yourself in the ubiquitous greenery and soak up the local peace.

It has always been an urban sparrow, I never thought that I would be attracted to the rural atmosphere - until we bought an old, single-story house, the greatest value of which was a bread oven, and the most touching element - an old, well-worn wooden threshold. The stove and the threshold are still with us, and apart from that, the souvenirs that we brought here from the Balkans, Hungary, Latvia, and even Iran. In our homestead we found a place for Polish handicrafts - hand-painted plates of an artist from Lower Silesia, kilims of non-existent cooperatives of folk artists, an icon painted by a Bieszczady artist, who obtains softness of colors by adding ... red wine to paints, Pieniny painting on glass and bobbin lace from the vicinity of Krynica Górska.
The grasshopper is truly the last house on the road, the end of the world begins behind us, so even if we run naked, no one will see us. We recommend a deep reset here - taking naps under a linden tree, coffee under a chestnut tree, long wake-up calls, cooking in the rhythm of words and such food, joint feasts in the barn, watching the stars, cycling trips, trips to the antiques market, yoga sessions on the grass or sitting by the fireplace.
And besides: we love freedom, art and rest among the greenery at our end of the world.
