First there was a door. The front door to my family house, made before war by some Mazur. Shabby, with flaky azure paint and three small lenses. I loved them. When my parents exchanged them for new ones several years ago, I promised myself that one day I would build a house for them. The door was waiting, and there was a house. Or rather a cottage, modeled on old Masurian arcaded houses. Made of fired logs joined in a dovetail, with a hundred-year-old Masurian tile and, of course, a turquoise door. It was designed by a friend of the architect and named the project Brutka, which is the Masurian `` bride '', probably from the German Braut. So we decorated it with dignity, as befits a bride. We dressed in natural materials, paintings by Polish artists, books and a lot of heart. We invite you behind the azure door. Here, in front of the village beach on Lake Inulec, is our Chrosiówka, which is almost a hectare of yard and two houses. We live in the first one and we run a cozy agritourism in the attic, while in the second one you rule. An almost 100-meter wooden house is waiting for you. Real food and cordiality await you. In winter, warmth and books, in summer, the beach and sparks above the fire. Come on over. We are not going anywhere yet.

Here Slowhop will describe your place

Host:
Asia i Wojtek
We, or Asia called Chrosia, lover of mathematics, books and mountain hiking, and Wojtek - a guy who prefers to do something than talk, and in his free time he will produce cheese or brew beer. You will meet us in Zełwęgi on Lake Inulec, where we built our Chrosiówka. We are from here, we feel very attached to our piece of Masuria and every year we appreciate the joy of a simple life more. This does not mean that we are not moving from Zełwęgi. On the contrary - we roam the mountains with wild pleasure, sail on Omegas or ride bicycles on Polish wilderness. Our story is very normal, there is no drama like in a good novel or magic like in a fairy tale. We find happiness in small everyday pleasures and good relationships with people. We bake sourdough rye bread, make cheese and brew beer. We like to stare into the fire, talk about life or lie in a hammock with a good book. We'd love to share it all. come.

We give you an almost 100-meter-long wooden hut to rest, which we designed for 4-8 people. 2 couples or a family with children will be most comfortable here. Two families will be fine too. You will share the yard with the guests of our agritourism located next door. It won't be a crazy crowd, because our farm can fit up to 7 people. Of course, there is also us, our daughters and our dog Tofik. The house and the area around the house are naturally exclusive to you. On the ground floor we arranged a living room with a fireplace, a large table and access to the terrace and kitchen. There is also a small toilet. In the living room, an entire wall is occupied by a library. And not just any kind. There are no random books to fill the space on the shelves. There is a lot of news here, as well as a lot of classics, fantasy, detective stories and some children's books. On the first floor we arranged 2 spacious bedrooms with bathrooms. The bedrooms have air conditioning, each has a large double bed and two fold-out beds that can be combined into one. From the windows of the rooms there is a picturesque view of the hills and the forest with the lake in the background and the village, because our house is located in the village. The windows have blackout curtains and blinds. The house is open all year round, there is underfloor heating (electric) downstairs, plus there is a fireplace, upstairs we have air conditioning, which has a heating function, in the bathrooms there are electric heaters and underfloor heating. The walls are decorated with so many paintings that you might think it's a gallery and not a house for rent. Almost all of them were painted by Polish artists. Some more, some less known. Some we auctioned off at charity auctions, others we bought at exhibitions, in galleries or we got as gifts. Some of the furniture, lamps and accessories have an interesting history or come from local craftsmen. Some came from far away, e.g. the dining table came to us from Sweden. It was brought by Karolina and Marek from a befriended bistro-café Przechowalnia Marzeń. And the towel closet is an old cabinet from my parents' house. In addition, almost 50m2 of covered terraces. And on the terrace there are hammocks, sofas, an armchair, tables and chairs, where you can drink coffee or read a book. There was also one secret room on the ground floor, which we reserved for ourselves. This is our workshop - the kitchen where our cheeses, beer and bread are made. But don't worry, we have our own independent entrance on the side and we are only there from time to time. And if you are curious what's going on there, you can take a look and see how the specialties of Chrosiówka are made. It is worth adding that our house is in the village, so we have neighbors. We have an almost a hectare yard surrounded by trees and bushes and it is usually very quiet but we are unable to guarantee complete peace and quiet. One of the neighbors also receives guests, sometimes someone mows the grass, and sometimes someone chops wood ... As in the countryside. In summer, Zełwęgi are a bit more bustling and cheerful, but from September to June we have a real idyll here :)

What will I eat?

We have arranged the kitchen so that everyone can prepare something delicious in it. Don't hesitate to use it. You will find everything you need here: - dishes, cutlery, pots, - induction hob and oven, - fridge, dishwasher and electric kettle. And for coffee lovers, a whole set of accessories: a coffee maker, French press, filter coffee machine, Hario grinder, milk frother. And, of course, the best coffee beans from the Kofikada roaster in Olsztyn. You can try our products with us for some time. It started with the search for simple, good food. Now we have accelerated and we make rennet cheeses, bake sourdough rye bread, make real live apple cider vinegar and brew beer. It turned out that the devil is not that scary and that the secret is only good ingredients and a little heart. For cheese, we only use milk from lobster cows, appropriate bacterial cultures, rennet and salt. In turn, bread is made of eco rye flour from a 600-year-old mill in Reszel, grains, water and salt. Drop in to see if the bread has a sufficiently crispy crust;) In the season, you can eat well in the nearby Królicza Nora, Smażalnia Ryb Muranka (to which it is worth going by canoe to the other side of the lake) or in the Zełwągi restaurant. You can eat delicious all year round in the atmospheric Oberża pod psem or Słowiczówka or in numerous pubs in Mikołajki. We can also indicate more tasty addresses in the area. And the best coffee and breakfasts are served in our favorite bistro Przechowalnia Marzeń in Mikołajki (open from May to September).

In the summer, we recommend the village beach right in front of the house or the beach on Lake Majcz Wielki in the middle of the forest. We have deckchairs and hammocks on site, Inulec Lake is right next to it for fishing and canoeing, and nearby forest paths are ideal for walking and cycling. On the beach there is a beach volleyball court, an open-air gym and a wonderful old willow called Zenek, where our daughters used to spend half of their free time until recently. For older children we also have a playground, no one should be bored. Cyclists will find paradise here. The number of bicycle paths (especially in the field plus off-road) is impressive. There is also a 300 km route around the Great Lakes, i.e. the Masurian Bicycle Loop. We travel a lot ourselves, we will be happy to provide you with routes on maps.cz or otherwise, if you prefer. We have several bicycles on site, if you want to take yours - we have a place to store them. There are also kayaks for paddling. And board games, cards, balls. Reserve some time for reading books from our library (it's worth it!) and such ordinary pleasures as savoring aromatic coffee, stargazing, long evenings by the fire and quiet afternoons in a hammock. Only then can you feel that you have more time for everything. For those of you who are in Masuria for the first time, we also recommend such evergreens as Mikołajki, Leśniczówka Pranie, Gierłoż, rafting on the Krutynia River or the more wild Sapina or Boyen Fortress. Although we prefer to be there after the season.

What’s there for children?

Go to photo editor Photo edit

Translated by Google Translate.
On vacation, it's never the same as at home. You can run barefoot on the grass, eat breakfast on the terrace, persuade your parents from dawn to go to the lake. For us, dirty children mean a happy holiday. Give up changing wet clothes, make yourself a good coffee and let your children have more freedom. If the weather was totally crap, we have a few boxes of Lego Duplo bricks in the hut, a stove with lots of accessories and several hundred books and books for children. We have a nice playground in the yard, which your children will share with children from Chrosiówkowa agrotourism (if children are staying with us at the same time) and our daughters, who, despite their teenage years, still like to hang themselves on ladders;) The playground is a great joy for kids in school age (although many preschoolers bravely manage). All the toys were made by Wojtek himself, while our daughters were the designers. The village beach is right next door. Our children say that the water is the perfect temperature from May to the end of September. On the beach, as on the beach, there is also a pile of sand, a Zenek willow for climbing, a rural playground, half a hectare of meadows and an open-air gym.

We invite you to work with us! We don't have optical fibre, but the coverage of most operators (LTE) is really good. You can use your own or our WiFi (in the orange network). It is enough to send and receive e-mails, browse websites and send standard attachments. You can also make a video call on the webcam, not always in full HD quality, but without interrupting the sound and image. In the dining room there is an eight-seater table, and in the living room, working on the sofa, you can warm your feet by the fireplace. We have the best working conditions in our two bedrooms in the attic of the cottage. There is a comfortable desk with a chair in each room, there is also air conditioning in case it gets too warm or too cool. In summer, we recommend working on the terrace, there is a table with two chairs or comfortable sofas and hammocks.

How do I get there?

Icon Car

Our address: Zełwągi 43 CA, Zełwągi, Masuria Region, Poland

Translated by Google Translate.

The easiest way to get to Zełwęgi is DK16. In Zełwęgi, leave the main road towards Bobrówko and then turn into the first road on the right. After about 500m on the left you will see our Chrosiówka (and a large sign with the name). Attention! The house numbers are not in order so don't worry if 43b is followed by 43e. We are a bit further :)

Bus: Zełwągi (0,7 km)

On foot, about 700m - there is a pavement, so a suitcase on wheels will do without any problems. If you let us know in advance, we can pick you up at the bus stop :) There are many bus lines directly to Zełwęgi (I recommend checking the local Agawa line, which runs daily on the Warsaw-Mikołajki line). You can also take a train to Olsztyn and change to a bus to Zełwęgi. Alternatively, we can pick you up from a further stop (Mrągowo, Mikołajki).

Train: Ruciane-Nida (28 km)

Let us know in advance and we will pick you up from the train station.

If you want to organize a party (whether it's integration or a bachelorette party), we encourage you to choose another place. Our place is in the village, we have neighbors and everyone around us makes sure that it is rural, idyllic and ... peaceful. When it comes to the dog's stay - we accept small and rather older dogs that do not bite objects and furniture. We ask that the dog not sleep in the beds and not be left alone when you go somewhere, e.g. for food. We also ask you to take a bed for your pet :) We also have our dog - the mongrel Tofik, who of course rules ;) In addition to the Cottage, we rent 3 rooms in the house where we live. A few dozen meters away from the cottage (you will find it under the name of Agrotourism Chrosiówka). The parking lot and the area around the cottage are exclusive to you, but you will share the playground and the bonfire with the guests of our small agro farm. Please keep in mind that we have mobile internet limited to 500GB/month. It has not happened yet, but it may happen that guests use the entire data package. Then the internet works at a reduced speed: ( In such a situation, we recommend using your own mobile internet. There is a decent range of all major operators (LTE). We are an agritourism farm, therefore we issue a bill (invoice without VAT) on request. We can issue a bill for both a natural person and a company, but each time we will include accommodation for leisure purposes in the content.

Polecamy pobyt w Chacie Chorosiówka! Otoczenie przyrody było absolutnie piękne i relaksujące !! Dom oferował wiele udogodnień w tym dostęp do rowerów i kajaków :) Gospodarze byli niezwykle mili i pomocni. Zawsze służyli nam radą i udzielali wskazówek dotyczących atrakcji w okolicy.

Kuchnia super wyposażona, stół w salonie umożliwił rodzinną atmosferę a przytulne i przestronne pokoje dawały swobodę całej rodzinie.
