This is where we were born, it is here that our families settled after the war. This is our place on earth, an undiscovered paradise. Warmia, an impenetrable land, with a tiny village in it, perfect for a break from everyday life, to be pampered (by us), for bicycle trips, canoeing trips, watching the stork canteen and long dinners in the garden. This is Warmia, charming in its phlegmatism.
In our age-old agritourism, we share floors like Paweł with Gawło. You are upstairs, we are downstairs. We serve breakfast at a shared table, and we can go mushroom picking together. In addition, we sweeten our worries with honey from our apiary, we fight fatigue with tickets for a nap, we throw overwork behind the back, and instead we supplement sun, fresh bread, books and silence. Such that you can hear how the flower meadow grows and where our barn hedgehog stomps at night.
Kotowo has 9 farms crosswise, so the crowds are not threatening you. You will sooner meet a hedgehog living in a barn or a stork sneaking into the pond than other vacationers.
We cordially invite you to our family agritourism. The house dates from around 1880. We give you 4 rooms with bathrooms on the first floor and a cozy common living room (about 200 m2 in total), and we are taking over the ground floor. Wide, comfortable stairs lead to the first floor.
In detail:
- Shared living room with a kitchenette - comfortable sofas, armchairs and a table with chairs in the dining area and a kitchen equipped with: a hob, fridge, dishwasher, kettle and basic dishes and pots.
- 4 bedrooms - double beds or 2 single beds with bedding, wardrobes with hangers, tables and bedside lamps.
- Bathrooms - each room has a large walk in shower, towels and ecological soap.
- Additionally - access to Wi-Fi, free parking, place for a fire and meals outdoors.
In the garden, there is a hammock, a place for a bonfire, and a fish-filled pond. The Łyna River meanders just around the corner.
In a remote area it happens that you look for a store with a candle, not to mention a restaurant. We cannot let you rest with your stomachs rumbling, so we invite you for breakfast from the morning.
We start at 9:00 a.m. and it's better to be on time, because you will be greeted with a fragrant rye leaven bread, homemade preserves and our cold meats, cheeses, spreads and products from local farmers. Maybe a baked porridge, maybe an omelette, there will be something hot for sure. And necessarily honey from our apiary.
In the afternoon (17: 00-18: 00) we serve dinner. We fill our bellies with an appetizer, main course, dessert and drinks such as water, juices, compotes as well as coffee and tea. It will be fresh, seasonal and local. We can not miss traditional Polish dishes, which we prepare according to our recipe. In summer, we also serve dinners outdoors.
We cook one menu for everyone. So if you have specific dietary preferences (gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan diet), please let us know when booking.
Who knows, knows that Warmia is a haven of peace. We have much fewer lakes than in Masuria, so the crowds also avoid us. Play this for us! However, we are only 12 kilometers away from Lidzbark Warmiński, heading south, so you can visit the former capital of Warmia at any time.
For unhurried rest, we have for you:
- The entire 2.5-hectare area of our habitat. Here you will find an orchard, a pond, a forest with a hammock, a fireplace, and deckchairs.
- A flower meadow with our small home apiary. The obtained honey is present in our kitchen and is at your disposal.
- the picturesque Łyna River just around the corner.
- A kayaking trip that you can start in Lidzbark Warmiński and end in Kotowo near our house.
- Beautiful lakes, bicycle and walking trails, stud farms and the idyllic landscape of Warmia.
- Great places for mushroom pickers. Starting from our yard, where we collect beautiful bolete mushrooms every year, to boletus and saffron mushrooms. We love going mushroom picking, so you can come with us.
The blue bicycle trail in the Lidzbark Warmiński commune runs directly in front of our entrance gate. It is a loop of approximately 30 kilometers, leading through Lidzbark Warmiński, the sanctuary in Stoczek Klasztorny and the Łyna valley. We are also located next to the wonderful Green Velo route. If you like to cover kilometers, take your bikes with you. You can also rent bikes in Lidzbark.
You can organize micro expeditions to:
- Stoczek Klasztorny with the sanctuary of Our Lady of Peace,
- Lidzbark Warmiński, with the Castle of the Bishops of Warmia, a revitalized station with a historical exhibition, thermal baths and brine graduation towers,
- a fascinating open-air museum in Olsztynek (our favorite place),
- Jezioran for a weekend eco-market.
What’s there for employees?
In the common area, which is an ideal place for integration and work, there is a large table for six people. For those who want a change of perspective and a seat, we invite you to the sofas or armchairs located by the fireplace. On them, your daily tasks will certainly become more bearable. Despite the fact that this is an open space for all Guests, you will probably not meet any interruptions here (we accept children from 12 years of age).
However, for those who like to listen to music while doing research or writing emails, we recommend using the workspace in the room. Each of them has a table and an upholstered chair.
