Do you know the saying that a shoemaker walks without shoes? This is not our case. One of us is an architect, the other works in IT, but has a natural knack for interior design. We could not imagine that someone else would design the house for us.
36 concepts later, we got to the happy end. We like new technologies, aesthetic things, modern styling, as ecologically neutral as possible. We love the proximity to water and the nature of the Drawski Landscape Park. Our joint work reflects these preferences.
We invite you to look for deer and white-tailed eagles in the morning, coffee on the pier among the mists of the lake and for a bit of luxury in your home SPA. To the tiny Głęboczek, surrounded by waters.
The house is located on the shore of Lake Kosino (our plot is adjacent to the shoreline of the lake), in a small village inhabited by 35 people. Głęboczek is located away from the national road (5 km into the forest), thanks to which the place is really quiet.
The house itself is a one-story building with three bedrooms (two with a double bed and one with two single beds), two bathrooms, a living room with a kitchen and a SPA area. Outside there is a huge garden at your exclusive disposal. There are designated places for a bonfire/barbecue.
In our house, we used almost all available ECO systems, such as: ground heat pump, recuperation, photovoltaics, biological sewage treatment plant, retention tank for rainwater, energy-saving materials. There are also huge windows through which a lot of light falls - in the living room (9m wide) and in the SPA lounge (6m wide). Both windows open onto the lake, allowing the interior of the house to merge with the garden. We decided on only one non-ecological solution and that is air conditioning.
The past year 2022 was a year of investments for us. Thanks to the increased effort of many people, we have completed or will soon complete the construction of a new pier, property fencing and our most sweeping project, a 250-meter terrace with a garden swimming pool equipped with counter-current, lighting and a water heating system (first launch already for the long weekend in May 2023).
We are not there, so despite our sincere intentions, we are not able to serve you our favorite dishes. You have to prepare the meals yourself. To make it a pleasure and not a pain, we have equipped our kitchen with a number of useful appliances and amenities. Outside the house (under our shelter), the iconic Weber charcoal grill awaits you with a special steak grate and a pizza stone.
You can eat your meals outside, using the available picnic blankets or at the large comfortable table in the dining room, enjoying the beautiful view of the lake and the warmth of the fireplace located next to it.
We cannot imagine a day without a cup of good tea or coffee. We are sure you will too. We make sure that our guests always have a selection of our favorite drinks. You can count that the highest quality Earl Gray, Genmaicha, straight from Japan, and good coffee, preferably brewed in the available Aeropress, will always be waiting for you,
Let's start with what is in place, and there is a lot of it. First of all, you have a few steps to the lake, you just need to cross the garden and you are there. There is a pier by the lake, which serves as a place for jumping into the water, yoga, a meeting place for a coffee or a glass of wine. What your heart desires.
Next: the garden itself. It's a large area with sun loungers, a place for a bonfire and barbecue, and plenty of space for all kinds of games and fun. The so-called peace of mind and lots of greenery.
Regarding the greenery. The house is located within 2 nature protection zones: "Natura 2000 - Czaplineckie lakes" and "Ostoja Drawska". The latter form of protection was established due to the abundance of fauna species, with particular emphasis on the birds inhabiting the area. We see black storks, cranes, eagle owls, white-tailed eagles and eagles here. Our daily guests are deer, roe deer, foxes, and once we have even hosted a lynx. There are plenty of wild and organized hiking and biking trails nearby.
In our area, however, we recommend you a few places worth seeing:
- in the first place, the Drawa River and canoeing. The trail is named after Karol Wojtyła and is 186 km long - we, of course, encourage you to cover a small section of it, for example the one that leads through the waters of Krosino Lake, where the house is located,
- close, just over a kilometer from the house, you can see the former water mill in Głęboczek,
- a village beach and an "open air" gym in Głęboczek,
- a visit to the Ceramic Forge in Siemczyno and pottery workshops under the supervision of Mrs. Krystyna Masiukiewicz (tel. 605 578 600),
- ruins of the Templar castle in Stary Drahim,
- Drawsko Lake - the largest lake in the lake district with a well-developed sailing base and schools of snoorking (BeActive Marcelina Bzdyrek Tel. 696 06 90 96) and diving (Łukasz 606 201 571 lukasz.oginski@gmail.com and Janusz 500 240 868 janusz_olejniczak@wp.pl)
- in Złocieniec (14 km from us) there is a new, well-equipped paintball field.
If you get tired of exploring our area and the surrounding area, we invite you to come home. There are also many attractions waiting for you here. After a day full of adventures, you can experience perfect relaxation in our home SPA. On an area of over 40 m2, in a separate part of the house, you will find a spacious relaxation room with a beautiful view of the lake, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath and a separate toilet and shower. We also offer our home library, a set of board games, a home theater and a PS4 console with a set of popular titles.
What’s there for children?
When children come to us, they automatically acquire the temporary possession of the castle and the vast estates surrounding it. Does that mean they turn into princesses and princes? In our opinion, yes. Because the castle is there, the tower is on it, the view from the castle is as it should be - of the vast meadows, lake and forests. Everything is correct. All you need to do is rule, hold balls, hold important meetings and look for the inhabitants of the kingdom from the tower - eagles, cranes and deer.
