We have never met a bored child. There are rumors that between workshops on making birdhouses and ceramics, between walks with the neighbor's horses and a competition for the best zipline ride, a boy was once seen wondering what else to do today. However, he was immediately grabbed by a group of dirty children, some of whom were ours, neighbors or guests, and they peed in their galoshes into the pond, only to ride away on a bicycle along a country road. And in the evening, instead of in the room - go to sleep under the open sky, because sleeping in the garden is a proper children's sleepover and no one is offended, even by princesses taking a nap on the trampoline. Here it's allowed.
We invite you to a very family guesthouse. Come to us if you like children, yours and others. Come if you have temporarily run out of ideas for fun. We guarantee that we have them. In the nooks and crannies of our garden with old trees, surrounding an over 100-year-old house, there is a place for everyone: children as energetic as an Osram bulb and parents who dream of catching their breath on a deckchair. Friendships are formed here for years, and then we are surprised to learn that some guests take others to Poznań with a ceramic mug made in the workshops.
We have 2 fresh apartments for you in the attic of a house that is over a hundred years old. We invite you to visit them as a family. And now PLEASE NOTE: we do not impose any age restrictions for children, but please take into account that there are steep stairs leading to the apartments on the 2nd floor, and there are also stairs inside to the attic. Each apartment has two levels. It is up to you to decide whether your children will cope and whether you will feel safe in such circumstances.
Loft (typically family, without closed spaces):
– open space with a kitchenette,
– downstairs in this space: 1 double bed, 1 single bed and 1 double sofa,
– in the attic, down the stairs: 2 single beds,
- bathroom with shower,
– it can accommodate 7 people, but will be comfortable for 5.
With stained glass (with separate rooms):
– large living room with kitchen,
– lockable rooms: with 1 double bed and 1 double bed and 1 single bed,
– attic stairs: 3 single beds,
- bathroom with shower,
– it can accommodate 8 people and no one will have to sleep on the couch.
We only rent apartments on Slowhop, but there are also guest rooms on the first floor of our house, which can accommodate up to 9 people. It is very possible that you will not be the only guests here. The four of us also live in the house. We have our own apartment with a separate entrance.
Our companions are 3 cats and a dog - this is important information for allergy sufferers. The house is a cat kingdom and cats are allowed everywhere, including the guest area. That's why we invite you to visit us only with a small dog. Please let us know in advance if you intend to come with him, we will ask you a few questions about the dog.
Our house is old, has a history, the rooms are not soundproofed and the floors creak. There's always something going on. Even if there are no other guests at home, which is rare, kids from nearby homes or from school come to our studio for workshops. This is a place for those who like contact with people, especially the little ones, and instead of absolute silence, they are looking for a place where kids can express their energy and creativity.
We do not prepare meals, but we have well-equipped kitchens where you can take care of them yourself. There are several restaurants within the reach of a car trip and there you will find something to eat on days when you absolutely do not feel like cooking. Also, feel free to take advantage of the benefits of the area. In the neighborhood you can buy tasty cheeses or fresh vegetables.
In our garden in the summer there are lots of wild strawberries, there are also currants, raspberries and plums. Be bold.
In our workshop in Stara Kuźnia, full of antique objects, handicraft workshops are held:
– ceramic,
- learning to work on the potter's wheel,
– knitting: making hats (led by our daughter Ola),
– making bath bombs (led by our son Krzyś),
– soap,
- making protective lipsticks.
Most of them are run by me, but sometimes Ola and Krzyś help me - they also implement their workshop ideas and they do it well. Workshops are additionally payable, the price range is from PLN 45 for bath balls to PLN 140 for learning how to roll on a potter's wheel. Of course, you can take all the items made during the classes with you. Workshops are intended for both adults and children - you can safely participate in them as a family. We can arrange them individually, just let us know what you would be interested in. We are also able to prepare workshops according to your idea - recently, for example, we made insect houses with the kids. We often host family groups from other summer resorts, and in the season school, kindergarten or with disabled children.
Such workshops, when a good group gathers here, often end with a barbecue or a bonfire. We love getting to know our guests. If you feel like it, we will definitely find an opportunity to meet and talk by the fire.
There are beautiful meadows right behind the house, which you will enter through the back gate. You can walk through the valley or bike to Świeradów Zdrój, stopping at one of the viewpoints along the way, e.g. Rocks of Lovers. From there, there is such a vast view that you can even see the Kaczawskie Mountains.
At the Culture Station in Świeradów Zdrój, you can sign up for interesting classes on vanishing professions in the summer (e.g. carpentry, millinery or beekeeping with the "Izera Pszczelnik"). In the city, of course, you will find historic spa architecture, e.g. the Spa House from 1934. Don't forget to drink mineral water in the Spacerowa Hall!
There are excellent single tracks, run tracks and cross-country ski trails in the area, but you've probably heard of this. At any time of the year, you can spend time actively here.
In the immediate vicinity we can recommend you:
– horse walks with neighbors,
– Geopark route and adit in Krobica (for children over 6 years old),
- Deer Rocks
– mysterious remains of the village of Radoszków,
– Wolfgang Spring,
– ruins of the former shelter,
– Sępia Góra,
– Sophia's Rocks,
– a waterfall on Mrożynka hidden in the forest.
And a bit further afield:
– Świecie Castle,
– Czocha Castle and dams near it, boat trips in the area,
– the Siedlęcin tower, the dam and the Pearl of the West (the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park),
– trips: to the Stanisław Quartz Mine,
- to the High Stone from Death's Bend,
– from Jakuszyce to the Orle shelter.
What’s there for children?
All! Seriously, don't come to us without your children. I mean, you can, but it will be a loss for them and for you. For us, children's hustle and bustle is a natural state, without kids this place wouldn't be the same. Children visiting us naturally make friends with ours, but also with other young guests. Friendships like this last for years.
First of all, we invite you to the workshops mentioned above. We would like to add that we try to equalize the age groups of children so that everyone feels good and has fun. We also never refuse workshops to our guests. We can organize them even for 1 child.
The backyard is a space that we have given to the kids. We have a Cossack zip-line, a playground, a trampoline, swings and a hundred places where you can hide while playing hide and seek. We organize sleeping in the garden for volunteers. We've already seen all kinds of locations and configurations: children sleep in a tent, on hammocks, and recently we even found daredevils sleeping on a trampoline. Recently, we even have a special bed with a waterproof mattress in the garden. The lucky ones who occupy it sleep royally there.
Our neighbor breeds Polish Koniks, with which children visiting us like very much. He will be happy to invite them for horseback walks around the village.
We also know countless attractions in the area and we will help you organize such a holiday that your children will not forget for the rest of their lives. Lower Silesia is a great place to come with children. You can plan something different for each day: trips to castles, bicycles, educational walks.
What’s there for employees?
Rather, it is not a place for work, but for family holidays. In addition, the Internet is different in our country: especially when a lot of people use it, it can refuse to cooperate. However, it's not that you can't work at all - if you need to check e-mails or search for some information, it shouldn't be a problem.
