Or we could start talking about Poľana as a volcano that is one of the largest extinct volcanoes in Europe. And here, where she spilled lava, she is today a unique UNESCO biosphere reserve. After those 20 km in diameter of the volcano, you can walk today and maybe you will be filled with fear of what you have under your feet and where you are walking. Or we can start with legends about short Detvian shirts, where men can see a bare shaft and navel, or King Matej, who liked to come to Vígľaš Castle. Or also about hidden treasures, which Jánošík himself hid and which, according to legend, are sought not on Ján and Midsummer's night, but on Good Friday, when all the gates with hidden treasures are opened. Or about a waterfall and our glasses. Or ... Podpoľanie is simply such a juicy piece of land. Once you taste it and you will never have enough. He will always infuriate you with something, he will conquer you.

And in this region we are. We want to show it to you. In full beauty, with everything that goes with it. Also with a visit to traditional farms, teaching you some craft if you want. You will go for wanderings through our Podpolian wilderness and for folklore. And so that you can always tune in to those wanderings well and later store them in your head as great memories, there are 3 lindens in Bratkovice in Podpoľany. Enter another world with us. To where people and nature live in harmony.

How about a little laid-back romance? Or for relaxation and romance? So that the sheep remains whole and the wolf is full. So come to us, in Podpoľanie, in Bratkovica, and we will welcome you in our cottage 3 lindens. To be clear, you will not be completely alone. In the neighborhood of our 3 lime trees there is a small church and there are also 2 other cottages. The cottage is located by the driveway.

Our cottage is kissed by the patina of time. Both exterior and interior. The exterior invites lounging under the gazebo or in the shade of a tree, but it is unfenced and by the road - remember this with children and pets. The interior space will welcome you with original and hand-reconstructed furniture, spacious rooms and a fully equipped kitchen with a tiled stove.

We can accommodate up to 17 people, so if you want, you can also invite the whole family or a group of friends. And feel free to make an agreement with us and we can also organize an event, a family celebration, meetings... or a wedding? ;)

But to the point. In addition to the dominant living room, the heart of which is an oven with a toaster for all seven sleepers, there are also 4 bedrooms:
- a bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 double bed and a sofa bed (4-5 persons)
- a bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 double bed and a sofa bed (4 - 5 persons)
- bedroom with 2 single beds and 1 double bed (4 persons)
- bedroom with 2 single beds and 2 double beds (6 persons)
- a total of 16 fixed beds and 2 extra beds
Each of the bedrooms also has its own bathroom.

You don't have to rush anywhere with us. And since you will have as much time as you want, try to spend your free time with your loved ones and cooking together. Maybe it turns out to be great fun and lots of laughs. You don't have to worry about space in the kitchen, our spacious kitchen allows you to involve anyone who wants to try at least a little and is not afraid to prepare meals.

They say it tastes even better in the fresh air than inside. So when you're not cold and want to whet your appetite with fresh air and a view of the surroundings, head under our gazebo. Our stone oven and grill are waiting for you there, and you will also find a place for a campfire. Under the summer night sky - priceless. Or spread a blanket on the grass and have a picnic!

We ourselves know that sometimes the best way to get to know the unknown is to employ the taste cells. Bite into local specialties and taste traditional dishes. Real sheep's cheese, freshly baked potato bread or gnocchi with homemade sausage and sausage. From tasting individual local products to a multi-course dinner, we can introduce you to our beautiful region in a slightly different way. Are your slinkies coming together yet? Great! All the brave can experiment, buy products and create on their own.

Don't want to think about what, where and how? So leave it to us, put yourself in our hands and we can fill your free time with activities and entertainment prepared according to your wishes. And we will also take care of the transport. Get to know the countryside, local farmers and visit the surrounding cottages and farms. Try to be introduced to the secrets of making cheese, bryndza or baking local potato bread.

The untouched nature around the largest extinct volcano in Central Europe - the ancient volcano Poľana, is a treasure chest. Open it and choose what you like. Discover. Hiking, walking, mushroom picking in season, skiing in winter, sledding. The UNESCO protected nature reserve will reveal rare ecosystems in front of you. Choose Podpoľání in the footsteps of rocky gates (Kaľamárka, Jánošíkova and Melichova skala) or behind the 23 m high Bystré waterfall. But beware, it is highly probable that the scattered spa settlements and the surrounding nature will catch your heart. And maybe somewhere on your wanderings around the local lakes, you will come across carved wooden crosses with ornaments and notches, which have become a unique part of the local cultural heritage.

Podpoľanie is also an ideal place if you are burning with a love of tours and bike trips. For beginners, we recommend the Hontianska or Vrchárská cycle route, experienced and more demanding cyclists can try the circuit around Poľana with an elevation gain of up to 2,400 meters.

What would it be like to be at Podpoľany and not smell our folklore! You will already know yours about short shirts, and you can see the real walnuts with your own eyes at the Folklore Festival under Poľana. So on the second weekend of July in Detva, dance, sing, join programs or learn to play fujara.

Of course we do not forget even our youngest guests. The space for their catches will have plenty. There is a garden, playground. We can also provide you with the help of professionals so that you have at least a few quiet moments just for yourself. They take care of a program or activity of various kinds, so coffee in the room may not just be an unattainable dream.
