Our Apartment Family & Despite its central location in the 5th district of Margareten, Friends is a small oasis of calm. Therefore, you can retreat here at any time during your visit to the city and all its busy places to put your feet up and take a deep breath. The apartment is 75 square meters and has two bedrooms, a large bathroom with a toilet, bath and shower and a smaller bathroom with a toilet and sink for up to four adults, with up to two cots on request. We have decorated it with great attention to detail, modern and equipped with the highest quality materials and appliances. So you can also expect high-quality mattresses in the bedrooms for a good night's sleep. Bed linen and towels are included in the price, so you can fully rely on our high standards. And so that you don't lack anything practical at home, we have also thought of such things as washing machines, drying racks, coat hooks and ironing boards. Because there is no substitute for individuality, Family & Friends many choices. For example between espresso and filter coffee, between shower and bathtub - for which you will find fragrant bath products - or for your entertainment, where you can choose between literature and board games, tablet, CD player or radio and the high-quality flat screen TV with satellite reception in common living area you can choose. In the living room you will also find various boxes with information material: "Vienna in general", "Vienna for those interested in art and culture", "Vienna for children" and "Vienna for nature lovers". In each of these boxes there are flyers and folders with the relevant information - you can Take everything with you and keep it, we always provide supplies. Smoking, parties and pets are not allowed in the apartment. And we also ask you to be considerate of the neighbors when it comes to noise.

Our fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare your favorite dishes: stove, oven, pots and pans, spices, plates and cutlery, kettle and toaster. Then the dishwasher does the washing up for you. And for coffee lovers, as already mentioned, we have two different coffee machines (espresso and filter). The food can also be consumed directly at the kitchen table next to it. You don't have to go far to fill the fridge, supermarkets like Billa, Hofer - that's Aldi in Austria - or Spar are practically around the corner. And the Szabo butcher's shop not only offers fresh meat products, but also hot dishes, pastries and even fruit to take away. After the Alois-Drasche-Park there is also the Die Wi [e] nzerei, a vinotheque of a different kind: 6 winemakers from Lower Austria and Burgenland have come together to sell their wines and complementary products such as frizzante, verjuice, brandy, To offer juices and grape seed products; The special thing about it is that you will be looked after directly and personally by the winegrowers on duty on site. An organic shop, Denns BioMarkt is also nearby, here you will find all kinds of fresh goods and products in organic quality. And a regional farmer's market takes place every Friday, a 10-minute walk from the apartment on Südtiroler Platz. If you want to eat out, thanks to our inner-city location not far from the main train station, we have a whole range of restaurants with Austrian or international cuisine in the area. We recommend the restaurants Duspara (with its cuisine somewhere between the Adriatic and Bohemia) and Rudis Beisl (typical Austrian home cooking such as Wiener Schnitzel, but also fine starters) in the Wiedner Hauptstraße. The Gasthaus Engelhardt serves similar traditional dishes, where Martinigansl are available every Thursday in November by pre-ordering. And if you are already in Vienna you MUST visit a typical Viennese coffee house. Fortunately, it's not too far to Café Goldegg on Argentinierstraße, which has also served as a film set. Main courses as well as fresh desserts and of course a fine selection of coffees - even our own from a private roastery - and teas are offered here.

The Danube metropolis Vienna offers a lot of things to see. You can start right near us in the Alois-Drasche-Park, a 16,000 square meter quiet recreational area, framed by historical secessionist facades. House gardens directly border and flank the park, groups of plane trees provide fresh air in it. We have the right equipment in the apartment for the local table tennis tables, and you can also use our five bicycles to explore the city (one of which is for small children). If you follow the alley further east, you will end up in the garden of Belvedere Palace, a relatively spacious, terraced palace park from the 18th century with promenades and green spaces. It includes the botanical garden of the University of Vienna, an alpine garden, the Swiss garden and even an allotment garden association. Belvedere Palace itself is a Baroque palace built by Prince Eugene in the 18th century with art from the Middle Ages to the present day and an important Klimt collection of paintings. The garden is the oldest part of the complex with two cascade fountains and numerous sculptures. Not far from the apartment to the north is the Mariahilf district, which includes the city's largest and most famous shopping street, Mariahilfer Straße, and the Naschmarkt, the largest inner-city market in Vienna, as well as the Vienna Furniture Museum. The latter is located in a former Habsburg warehouse and presents exhibits from three different centuries. In the eastern neighborhood of Mariahilf, the Inner City is within walking distance of some of the most important sights of Vienna: the State Opera, the Habsburg Palais Albertina (today one of the most famous museums in Austria), the Austrian Parliament and City Hall of the city, the Spanish Riding School and the St. Stephen's Cathedral. You can find more museums in the Museumsquartier, including the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien, the Leopold Museum, the Kunsthalle Wien or the Kunsthistorisches Museum, which is one of the largest and most important museums in the world. Also worth seeing in the Hietzing district to the west is Schönbrunnn Palace, Archduchess Maria Theresa's summer palace from the 18th century. The local tours take you through opulent ballrooms and private rooms in rococo style, the palace park offers sculptures and a maze. And if you want it a little quieter and more natural, a visit to the Danube Island, located a little outside the city center, is worthwhile. An extensive network of paths invites sporty people to go hiking, jogging, cycling and skating; But of course you can also take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the view of the Vienna skyline.
