The old house is located on a hill in the upper part of Agios Markos. It offers views of the Ionian Sea and the mountains. The house has no air conditioning, but the old stone walls keep you cool on hot days. We filled it with artistic accessories and upcycled furniture. The house is 120 m² and has 2 levels: – on the first floor there is a kitchen and a living room with access to the terrace, - 2 bedrooms on the second one: one with a double bed, the other divided by a mezzanine in half - a double bed upstairs, and one single bed downstairs. There is also a bathroom with a bathtub on this floor. The house has two pairs of beautiful blue doors. Each, due to the location of the house, leads to a different floor. You can move around the house using the internal stairs or use the external ones.

The kitchen is all yours. Cook what you like and how you like. We know that a good food is the basis of a good day, and a happy tummy is a happy head. Therefore, do not hesitate to pamper your palates! We will make sure that Corfian lemons from our neighbor are waiting for you at home. Near the house there is a small tavern open during the season (usually from May to the end of September). It is worth coming here in the evening for a little something and a glass of good wine or Greek ouzo, if you prefer. If you want more, head to the lower part of the village. Social life flourishes there, there are numerous restaurants and you can find a party.

Corfu is the second largest Greek island and the one that is considered the greenest. However, do not expect typically Greek views, such as in Santorini. The island has been shaped by Italian, French and British influences. You will find traces of them almost everywhere. It was not until 1864 that the island was incorporated into Greek territory. AGIOS MARKOS Start by exploring the village of Agios Markos, divided into Upper and Lower parts. The lower one is teeming with life, you will find pubs, restaurants, parties ... Decades later, the British began to discover the old, forgotten upper part of the village, where the hosts' house is located. Just go up the stairs and the garden will open to you a world waiting to be discovered: full of ruins, paths, trekking routes. What else is waiting for you here? – from the house to Ypsos beach approx. 2 km (10-15 min. walk through the olive grove, but below we write why it is better by car), - approx. 20 minutes by car to the capital of Corfu, Kerkyra and to the hosts' favorite beach - Barbati, – if you want to take a bath on one of the twin beaches of Porto Timoni, head to the village of Afionas, – Angelokastro Castle, to which demanding serpentines over the abyss lead. THE CAPITAL OF CORFU The capital of Corfu is a Greek city with an Italian flair. These two in one. Why, you already know. The old town of Corfu was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007, so you're sure to have plenty to explore. Or at least allow yourself a leisurely walk through the narrow streets, where you will certainly come across shops with local handicrafts. MOVING AROUND THE ISLAND It is best to rent a car. Corfu is a large island, besides, Greek buses are unreliable. You can use it whenever you want to get to the beaches and back (although it will not spare you the climb up the hill). You can also try to hitchhike, local people are used to it.
