Good morning from Żywiecczyzna! More precisely from Złatna, whose main axis is marked by the Bystra stream. The same in which the Habsburg foresters rinsed their tired hands after a long day, and in which we can also wade to this day. Złatna is a tiny town where the asphalt ends and smoothly turns into a mountain trail. There were Wallachian shepherds, gold prospectors (the water of Bystra, formerly known as Złotna, carried this precious metal with it - who knows, maybe you will also find some treasure?), Mountain tourists who offer beautiful views, peace and fairness over ultra-modern attractions. , shelter meals.
What has always captivated us here and will steal your hearts is the fact that Rysianka has more beautiful crocuses than in the Tatras, that you can find here the remains of a forest glass factory and a historic forester's lodge that looks like a Swiss villa. That it may be the end of the world, but we and the whole family agree that it is the most beautiful. If you want to find out about it - pack your belongings and come to our settlement - Bury and Gray houses are waiting for their guests!
Złatna is a small village located in the Żywiec Landscape Park near the Slovak border. Our Settlement is located at the foot of the Pilsko crossroads with the Lipowski Wierch and Romanka Groups - so we are surrounded by peaks that form the Wielka Raczy Group. Our Settlement consists of two independent houses and an independent apartment on the first floor of our house. Each of them has fully equipped kitchen facilities, a terrace and/or a fenced area (for pets). At your disposal is a sauna, an Agata shelter, a playground and a sports field.
Bury - is our former family summer house, accommodates 5 people and consists of:
- a fully equipped kitchenette,
- bathrooms,
- relaxation zones with an additional sleeping place for two people,
- sleeping area on the first floor (2 double beds and 1 single bed, and a playpen for a child).
Bury is heated by a fireplace, pets are allowed, but please keep an eye on them in common areas.
Gray is adjacent to Bury like a good friend and is slightly larger than him - it can accommodate 8 people and consists of:
- equipped kitchenette,
- bathrooms,
- relaxation zones with an additional place to sleep (two fold-out sandwiches),
- two bedrooms (upstairs).
The house is heated with electricity and, as in Bury, pets can stay in it.
The mountain is located on the first floor of the hosts' house in very close proximity to the houses. It has an independent entrance, instead of a fenced garden, it serves a large veranda, which will give you respite, and at the same time will allow you to "keep an eye" on the entire settlement. Three rooms constituting double bedrooms, additionally a relaxation room with a TV and an open kitchen with a dining area. The mountain can accommodate 8 people and a dog as well, but outside on a leash 🤷
In the morning we are awakened by the sounds of the countryside: rooster crowing, dogs barking, the sounds of a lawn mower or in winter - snow blowers. The Agata shed is teeming with life in the season, ping-pong tournaments, cinema evenings, carol singing, guitar playing and bonfire parties are held here - we invite you to participate every time. It may happen that the blissful reading of a book on the veranda will be interrupted by the hostess trimming shrubs, picking fruit in the orchard or another family member in the heat of everyday work (finishing a board in the fence, refreshing the bench, etc.), which we try to do on an ongoing basis.
We do not offer gastronomy, but it is possible to order both dinners and breakfasts with home delivery.
In the nearby Rajcza, we recommend pizzerias (delivery by phone) and Gościniec Rajec, which serves cuisine from around the world. Do you dream of traditional highlander cuisine? Go to Węgierska Górka to Karczma pod Barania or Karczma pod Niedźwiedzem. If you get hungry during mountain hiking, they feed you honestly both in the shelter in Rysianka and in the shelter in Hala Lipowska.
On site you can relax on the veranda, grass, hammock, play a game of ping-pong or use the Finnish sauna. This is a really great form of regeneration after long hikes in our Beskidy Mountains. We made the sauna ourselves and we are very proud of it.
In our offer you will find a mini shop with hewn wooden handicrafts. Purchases can be made on site or online. Original, hand-made graphics on wood or hewn rams are a perfect complement to a holiday trip - souvenirs, but they are also recommended as gifts for loved ones. Workshops for individual orders or group offers are organized in our Agata shed.
The shed is also a great place for evening trysts by the stove, karaoke, chess...
The settlement is a good base for trips to various corners of the Beskids, above all we recommend:
- the blue trail Złatna - Hala Lipowska and Rysianka,
- a slightly longer walk from the shelter in Rysianka to Pilsko and Hala Miziowa,
- the blue trail Złatna - Bacówka on Krawcowy Wierch,
- trails from Bacówka on Krawcowy Wierch in the Slovak Beskids,
- from Krawcowy Wierch a beautiful trail to Pilsko and the Shelter at Hala Miziowa,
- a walk from Ujsoły to Rycerzowa and Przegibek.
Not far from us there is a sports and recreation complex in Ujsoły (rope park, swimming pool, climbing wall). For lovers of winter sports, in addition to countless places ideal for sledges and cross-country skiing, we offer nearby ski slopes in Rajcza, Zwardoń, Istebna and Slovakia (Orava). It is worth taking a bicycle (preferably a mountain bike) to us and exploring the area from the saddle. As part of the Beskid Culture Week in August, Wawrzyńcowe Hudy is organized in Ujsoły. It is here in Ujsoły the ancient custom of burning the so-called hud on the eve of St. Lawrence, or August 9 (usually, however, this celebration is postponed until the next Saturday). The bonfire reaches 20 m, and it is accompanied by concerts, singing and dancing - we highly recommend it!
What’s there for children?
Kids have the real paradise here! The houses are fenced, so the kids won't be scattered around the area, and on site we have a playground and a shed where you can play board games, ping-pong, and sunbathe on nets.
For the more creative, we offer workshops or music evenings.
In the garden we have a tested game of badminton and football. There is a stream in sight, which works great in hot weather, a great forest for real explorers (you can meet roe deer and deer here). In winter, sleds, apples and skis rule, because there are a lot of hills here. In the warm months, kids get stamps in shelters, roll around and collect forest totems (strange-shaped stones, sticks decorated with bark beetle patterns, herbs and flowers for wreaths).
In Glinka you can learn to climb, swim in the pool and eat pizza - we know from experience that this is a good proposition for all age groups.
