At the end, which becomes the beginning of relaxation, there is a mountain cottage surrounded by a sea of trees and clean air with healing properties. In Jagniątków, a district of Jelenia Góra, which was founded in 1650 by Czech Protestants fleeing religious persecution. A paradise for hikers and skiers, a haven of idleness. Then there is the heart of the Krkonoše National Park.
In 1932, the Pomeranian Plotzius - Schultze family lived in this house. The year-round holiday villa often hosted friends of the family - the Nobel Prize winner Gerhart Hauptmann, or the actor Hans Marr, who lived nearby. Nowadays, Willa Jagoda, full of memories and historical tidbits, tempts with a library with more than 150 books, a sauna for chilly evenings and a bed with a view of the milky way.
Boredom has limited possibilities of thriving here, as the surroundings are so pleasant that your shoes will just slide onto your feet. The slopes of the mountains gently descend to the distant valley and invite you to go Nordic walking, cross-country skiing and get moving. The day begins in the lounge with a sunbath over coffee and ends in the hot vapour of the sauna. In the meantime, stop off at the local pubs and have a feast for the body at "Wieloryba". Come and join us; we look forward to seeing you.
In a house with history in the highest district of Jelenia Góra, surrounded by nature and old piedmont guesthouses. We give the villa in its entirety to 6 people hungry for silence, unearthly views and comfort in the style of the 1930s.
In 2017, we carried out a house facelift, respecting its past. We have kept the original layout of the rooms, renovated floors and doors. The house has a new roof, insulation and windows. Ceramic tiles in bathrooms and kitchens faithfully reflect the trends from the villa's heyday. 1940s style furniture filled the interior, and old maps show the area. It is fresh, but with the atmosphere of swing, wooden skis and a former spa.
At your disposal is a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms with shower, a living room open to a sunny dining room and a veranda, and four bedrooms:
- the largest with a double bed,
- medium with two single beds,
- small with a single bed,
- romantic in the attic with a free-standing bathtub overlooking the starry sky with a double bed.
In the wardrobe from the beginning of the 20th century there is a library with a constantly growing collection of books. If it is missing an item that interests you, let us know and we will try to complete it. In the basement we have personally built a sauna with a cedar wall for you - it will be muggy, warm and relaxing.
Music lovers can feel at home with us. Music has a permanent place in the bedrooms and the living room. Each room is equipped with Bluetooth speakers from which your favorite tunes can be heard.
We provide skiers with a place to store skis and dry boots in the basement. There is a bicycle house in the garden where you can moor your two wheels.
In summer, when the garden is in bloom, you will be able to enjoy local foxgloves, rhododendrons, roses and other plants. You can relax in the sun lounger or take your mind off weeding if you feel like it.
Make yourself at home in a holiday villa in the midst of the hills. Our house is your home, so you have fully equipped interiors at your disposal, so that you will not run out of anything. There is a kitchen with everything needed for lavish parties and intimate breakfasts. Induction hob, oven, microwave oven. There is a toaster and a Nescafe dolce gusto capsule coffee machine. A blender will come in handy when making a morning smoothie or baby soup. There will also be cutlery, wine glasses and cleaning products.
If you are taking a cooking holiday during the lab, we have some proven suggestions in the area for you. In Jagniątkowo, we recommend two good quality restaurants - Willa Agnieszka and Wedle Bucków. Both offer an interesting seasonal and local menu at affordable prices, in the inn According to Bucków, you will find tinctures of your own production, and in Willa Agnieszka you will eat really delicious and at a good price.
A tasty and economical alternative is a meal at the Tramp Bar in nearby Sobieszów, at Chojnik. The bar decor does not reveal how good you can eat there. No luxuries with a homely atmosphere.
The obligatory item is the tartare at Mr. Ludwik's from the "Arnika" cafe in Świeradów Zdrój - world championship.
In Jelenia Góra, we especially recommend Trattoria Dadami and the Quirino restaurant. We also always like fresh fried fish in the "u Rybaka" fryers in Sosnówka or "Wieloryb" in Mysłakowice.
We love blueberry for its fresh air, straight from the Karkonosze National Park, silence, proximity to the mountains, herds of deer and does, badgers, numerous birds and a unique view of the mountains and the Jelenia Góra valley. This is what we serve as part of the holiday detoxification therapy. There are books, a sauna, sun loungers in the garden.
In the area, we recommend a feast for the body - the Karkonosze National Park, to which the heart of Willa Jagoda beats loudly. Less known, but equally wonderful, is a feast for the spirit in the form of a visit to the beautifully situated "Teatr Nasz" in Michałowice, whose owners, Jadwiga and Tadeusz Kutów, have won numerous awards at national theater reviews. They are wonderful people who are just worth getting to know. After the performance, you can also eat delicious food in the theater restaurant.
After leaving the house, you will find numerous trails leading to all parts of the Karkonosze National Park and its buffer zone. It is a paradise for ultramarathoners, lazy walkers, fans of two wheels, Nordic walkers and cross-country skiers.
For a short walk (400 meters), be sure to go to the museum in the house of Gerhart Hauptmann, a neighbor and friend of former residents of Willa Jagoda. If you are wondering where to start the trip, we recommend a classic of the type - Droga pod Reglami, i.e. a trail running 50 meters from the Villa. It connects Przesieka with Szklarska Poręba. There are numerous trails leading from it towards the ridge of the Karkonosze Mountains.
For closer trips you can also go to Grzybowiec or towards the Chojnik Castle.
The first destination of trips from Jagniątków is usually the Czarny Kocioł Jagniątkowski. From there, it's close to Śnieżne Kotły or the shelter at Łabski Peak, where you can eat delicious dumplings on the way up. On the way, it is worth finding Chatka pod Śmielcem, a hunting lodge of the Schaffgotsch family, the former owners of this land. Built at the beginning of the last century, it stands at an altitude of 1140 m.
The proximity of the Jelenia Góra Valley is a great privilege - it is officially called the valley of castles and palaces. The most beautiful are those located in Łomnica, Wojanów, Staniszów and Bukowiec. It is certainly worth taking a walk through the center of Jelenia Góra - from the Garrison Church to the Market Square and through the center of Cieplice.
When packing at Willa Jagoda, it is worth taking your bikes. There are plenty of slopes and paths of varying difficulty here. The one along the Bóbr river, one of the many carefully marked in the Basin, encourages you to visit the Knight's Tower in Siedlęcin with its famous secular paintings, or the Pilchowice Dam - a huge granite structure on a picturesque lagoon. Around Jagniątków, as well as in each of the surrounding mountain ranges, extensive singletrack networks have been developed in recent years. We call them Giants.
It is also worth being interested in places such as:
- Sokoliki,
- Tyrolean houses in Mysłakowice,
- Łomniczki valley,
- Samotnia hostel.
Regardless of the season, we focus on the Jizera Mountains. About 100 kilometers of cycling, singletrack and cross-country routes are available there. During the trips, it is worth trying the delicacies in the Orle and Chatka Górzystów shelters.
What’s there for children?
Children discover the secrets of the Karkonosze Mountains, discharge their batteries on forest walks and pram on a trampoline, travel with their finger on the map, then plan a great trip to the very top of their dreams.
Even though the Internet is here and there is a lot of trouble, it often lies idle, because nature does its job and distracts children from the screens.
Winter in Jagniątkowo is a real Land of Ice. You can build Olaf's snowman, feel like Elsa and Anna, hide in an igloo and have a snowball fight. In the rain, when the drops are drumming on the windowsill, there are table football, a whole lot of books and TV sets. You don't have to worry about boredom as long as you give your children some time and attention. We don't have a self-service playground, but the beautiful surroundings do the trick.
What’s there for employees?
The climate of our place makes remote work a pleasant duty. You can log in to work at a table, a coffee table on the porch or a large dining table. In the living room there is a comfortable sofa and armchairs. For longer stays, we can also put a desk with a chair in one of the bedrooms. We can find up to seven work places - in each of the four bedrooms and three work places in the open space on the ground floor (dining room, living room and veranda).
