Skitury dla początkujących w Beskidach

It's no news to anyone that physical activity gets you healthy. Ski-touring, a recently rediscovered alpine discipline, adds a breath of fresh air to the world of winter sports. Come to Szczyrk and enjoy the wintertime away from crowded ski resorts - join us to take part in a genuine backcountry adventure. All you need is basic skiing skills. If you are confident in stopping and controlling your speed on blue runs you're good to go. Discover the Beskids by taking part in a two day ski-touring course for beginners. During the course you'll stay at a cosy chalet with mountain views, located in a quiet corner of the vibrant resort of Szczyrk. Touring gear (skis, boots, poles) and a professional skiing instructor await on the spot.

During one day of the course we usually climb 600 vertical meters. We know from experience that course participants are able to climb this vertical height in approximately 2-3 hours. You'll learn basic ski-touring skills as we climb nearby peaks. On of them will be Skrzyczne (1257 m). We will be moving at a mellow pace so don't worry about getting left behind. After reaching the top we usually take a longer brake in one of the mountain shelters. This is an opportunity to enjoy the views (in good weather you can see the Tatra Mountains from the top of Skrzyczne) , rest and sample some local highlander cuisine. For our descent we will use the easy blue runs (unless the entire group is more experienced). We will tour for 4-5 hours each day.

Join us and take part in a true ski-touring backcountry adventure!

Tomasz Knapik

Supposedly I wasn't born with skis on my feet, but the emotions associated with skiing have accompanied me from an early age. The first time my parents took me to Kasprowy Wierch at the age of 4, they had an ambitious plan to go down together. It turned out that the dense fog helped me plough down from the top. Unaware of the height and the surrounding mountain abyss, to the amazement of my parents, I went all the way down to Kuźnice itself. Since then, I have skis on my feet more than boots. Today, as a SITN-PZN downhill skiing instructor and owner of the Active Tourism Office, I make sure that the participants of my trainings and trips do not lack positive emotions. I am a man of action and I cannot sit still, still feeling unsatisfied with the mountains. Numerous courses, trainings and ski-touring and cycling trips allowed me to gain knowledge about keeping safe in the mountains in winter and summer. On the other hand, thanks to medical education, I understand perfectly well that movement... and close contact with nature is the best recipe for a healthy life and achieving inner harmony. So you are in safe hands. I invite you to the Silesian Beskids. Here you will take your first steps on cross-touring skis and ascend the peaks on electric mountain bikes. Everything under the watchful eye of the modest person of your instructor, i.e. me. See you in Skiturowa Chata! more

I liked it!

I liked it!

Szkolenie skiturowe z Tomkiem jest to idealna alternatywa na zatłoczone stoki narciarskie i kolejki do wyciągów. Wspaniała dwudniowa przygoda, która może przerodzić się w pasję i miłość do tego sportu. Polecam każdemu, kto uwielbia trekking i narty zjazdowe. Dla mnie był to cudowny czas, który pozwolił mi przekonać się, że góry to miejsce w którym czuję się najlepiej :)
