Welcome to Biały Zdrój, the most beautiful village in the West Pomeranian region. And this is not just bragging: we receive this award almost every year. It is true that it is difficult for us to compete, because several artists live here. We make sure it is nice, for example in the fall. Then we make a pumpkin festival. The village turns orange and you can find pumpkin artwork in front of the houses.
Our house really used to be an inn. 120 years ago, beer was flowing in streams here and there were probably snakes dancing here more than once - the layout of the rooms is such that you can walk in a circle. On the ground floor, where we live today, there is still a serving hatch, and in the place where the barrel stood, there is still a fragment of the same, stone floor. There is a miniature hiding place under it. A wine cellar for bottles of a proven drink.
We invite you to our home. A home of painters and sailors willing to spread art and share sea stories. Come to paint and listen.
Our habitat is located in the village of Biały Zdrój, which is close to Lake Wieliż. It consists of a house in which we live and host you ourselves, as well as a former stable, now kitchens and an art studio. Outside, we have arranged a place for a summer cafe, there is also a place for a fire and a field of blue phacelia that blooms all summer. Then there is only the forest and the lake behind it. The shore is wild, but there is also a small beach nearby.
We have three rooms for you. They are all on the first floor:
- room No. 2. Double room with separate beds and bathroom. The room has an old chest of drawers and a table, the top of which is made in the decoupage technique by Dorota. Tom's gouache and an old mirror hang on the walls, and a forest can be seen from a small window.
- room no. 3. Triple room with a bathroom next door in the corridor (the bathroom is assigned to this room only). The room has three separate beds, a small renovated chest of drawers, cupboards, a table, lamps, and Dorota's paintings and drawings hang on the walls.
- room No. 4. Double room with a large double bed and a bathroom with a bathtub. In the room there is an old chest of drawers, table, chairs, original siphons and paintings by Tomek are a curiosity.
The guest kitchen is located in a separate cottage. It is also a meeting place and night chats. We are very proud of it - it is the apple of our eye. We have decorated it in an old style, it has a wooden ceiling and floor. Inside you will see a beautiful sideboard, vestal, stove, old lamps, piano, paintings, tonet furniture and collections of original items from Africa. In addition, you will of course find everything you need in the kitchen.
There is also a second kitchen, so there will be plenty of space. In the gray kitchen there are cabinets renovated by us and a large, wooden, table for four. The whole interior retains the atmosphere of other rooms in our house, so there are old irons, bottles from the Polish People's Republic orangeade, grinders remembering our grandparents and other "inventions". In addition to kitchen utensils and utensils, we also have all the accessories needed to make cheese from cow's milk.
There is also a toilet with shower and a washing machine in the chalet. In the gray kitchen, we organize workshops for friends and guests related to food processing (pickling, smoking, cheese making, etc.).
Our main asset and passion, which we like to share, is "Artestajnia". This is a plastic and art therapy studio, located behind the door of the Gray Kitchen. The studio was rebuilt from an old stable, it is fully equipped for art and art therapy activities. We made sure that the nature of this The place has been preserved and consistent with the architecture of the entire building. Here is the seat of the Biały Zdrój Association, which we are the founders of. Our activities are based on promoting culture and art, as well as therapy and art therapy. So we encourage you to take part in the classes. But this is not the only option. also cooking classes where you can learn how to make preserves and cheeses.
Near the house you will find at least a few great ways to relax:
- Lake Wieliż is several dozen meters from the house, and you can reach a small beach in about 10 minutes,
- 5 km away is our favorite lake, very clean, situated in the forest, Szerokie Lake,
- forests - there are plenty of areas for walking, running and cycling around. The paths are well marked and there are a lot of them. If possible, take the bikes with you. We also have maps and guides on site.
- our friend organizes canoeing trips on nearby rivers, such as Korytnica or Drawa. If you want to use this option, he will pick you up, take you to the place, and after the rafting will take you back to the house.
- you can also have a massage with us,
- play badminton,
- borrow Nordic walking poles from us,
- or take a sightseeing trip (some of our suggestions can be found below in the "Monuments" section).
What’s there for children?
Children are not bored with us, because they can give free rein to their creativity. We paint, stick, color, cut and decorate. There are plenty of possibilities and we always have new ideas. That is why, apart from typical village entertainment, games in the yard and by the lake, we offer your kids workshops and art classes. If you feel like it - let us know, we arrange the details individually. Classes are conducted by an art therapist and a visual artist :)
