When your childhood memories are connected with running in fields, meadows and forest paths, with the sweet taste of raspberries and the smell of apple pie, with the wind in your hair or snow in the middle of the belt, you may remember it all happily with us. I invite you here to us, the place of my childhood memories and days spent with grandparents. And since I love this place, the only obvious choice at the time was reconstruction. How much energy it cost us and how many skills stuck to our fingers, I'll be happy to tell you over a cup of coffee. And if you feel like listening, I will also tell you about old wooden beams and coins from 1924, about our fireplace - oven, or about lovingly reconstructed things from grandparents. There is another world for us, ours.

And we will be happy to share that world with you. Here in Novot na Orave, only a few km from the Slovak-Polish border, we will show you our refuge from the outside world. The place where we recharge our flashlights and fulfill the desire for life in nature. After all, the hills and hills we are embraced speak for themselves. You can enjoy hiking, doing nothing, soaking in a tub on the terrace, watching the night sky or even the deer that come to visit us here. You can do everything, but you don't need anything. So we like it best.

Without unnecessary words - you will sleep in a cottage as if cut from a fairy tale. Or if you want - in an old renovated cottage inherited from ancient and old parents. The cottage in question is located near the forest, on a small hill, from where you will have a view of the surrounding hills and valleys.

On the ground floor you will find a kitchen and a large living room - a playroom with toys for children or a relaxation room for adults in one. You can practice yoga, pray, read one of the books from our library, whatever your heart and soul long for. There is also a fireplace with a toaster in this common room, so if you feel cold, climb on it and warm yourself like a bacon on each side. But be careful, it sleeps very easily and well here;) And if you pick mushrooms during the season, dry them here - we have made a special place for drying here. From our own experience, however, we know that this place was most popular with our children's guests. In addition, on the ground floor you will find one large room and bathroom and on the first floor another 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with bathtub and a separate toilet.

Our whole cottage is a place where we live, live. It is simply our home. Manually renovated and furnished the way we like it. In the cottage, you will not only find a piece of energy that we put into it, but also a piece of our heart and life.

P.S .: and yes, we have a rooster! Believe us, sometimes he can try our patience nicely when he starts kikirík at 4 in the morning, but ... sunrises, not sunsets, are beautiful from the cottage, so at least you won't sleep this beautiful experience.

We leave cooking and other pleasures of culinary creation to you. So you have a free hand in the kitchen on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need - including a coffee maker, wine glasses and basic foods (flour, sugar, salt, spices). Cook, bake and then enjoy together at the kitchen table in the kitchen or on the terrace. If you want grilled or roasted delicacies, you have it at our disposal. And we must not forget the kettle :)

Our cottage also includes a small farm - hens and hares. After taking them with love in the morning, giving them water or feeding them a little in the company of your children, you can collect eggs for breakfast roast.
Those of you who like to catch and grill fish will surely enjoy our trout and sturgeon pond. For a fee, you can catch some swimmers and grill under your tooth. During the season, pick mushrooms and you can also pick medicinal herbs and blueberries right next to the cottage.

With us, you will not be impoverished even by taste experiences from other local products. You can taste something in our cottage and for other delicacies, be sure to go to the local cooperative, where they have smoked and unsmoked sheep's cheese, žinčice or cottage cheese. In the village you can also buy honey and various sausages (bacon and sausages). So if you fancy any of this - ask, we will direct you to the right people.

You can do anything, anything. And that's the best part. Maybe wandering through the woods, sitting on a bench in the foreground or on the terrace and you will be enchanted by the surrounding nature. Maybe you just like to sit under one of the trees in the garden and think about the immortality of the bush.

Maybe the surrounding nature and hills entice you so much that you put on your hiking boots and go on a nearby, even those distant wanderings. Near the cottage there are many beautiful forest paths, paths, hills, which we are happy to recommend in person. And in addition, we have the Orava Beskydy Mountains with the peak of Pilsko, from where you will have a view of Babia Hora, the Tatras, the Choč Mountains, Mala Fatra and neighboring Poland. There are Kysucké Beskydy with Rycierova hora on the Slovak-Polish border and you can also stop at the Lookout Tower in the saddle of Beskydy, or Oravská Magura with its highest peak Minčol and Kubínská hola. Were you wrong? So add the Great Fatra and the Little Fatra with Jánošík's holes to your tourist repertoire and you can also bounce back to the Tatras.

You can do all this not only on foot, but also on a bicycle, and in winter you can choose a different ski resort every day.

When wandering and walking through meadows and fields, direct your steps to the lookout tower with us in Novotica, and if you are asked for a slightly different experience, try it in the evening at the Orava car cinema.

We will tell you this briefly and clearly: the Orava Reservoir is nearby, if you want to soak in the water, try some water sport or take a boat ride. And Orava Castle - no matter how many times you've been there, its magical power will attract you again. Despite the small step to its gate;)

Of course, we have wi-fi and he will also find a TV here, and if you really need it, you will use them. But based on our own experience, we know that the time outside in the fresh air will be the best. Feel free to hatch on the grass and you can guess what animals look like clouds in the sky. Let your descendants run and jump calmly, there are also plenty of trees to climb. In summer, pick raspberries, blackberries and blueberries right in the woods behind the cottage.
In the morning, take care of our hens and hares together, in the afternoon the children can hike on the trampoline, run as much strength as they can or you can go together to see the old hives that were left here after my grandfather.
In the evening, sit together on the terrace or by the fireplace and count the stars in the sky.
