If you insist, you can take a kayak all the way to the Baltic Sea. The Manowce Palace stands on the shores of the Szczecin Lagoon, it is surrounded on all sides by the vast Wkrzańska Forest, and to say that it is picturesque is nothing to say. There could be a nice romance going on here. Its heroes would stroll through the old park and gaze dreamily at the endless waters of the lagoon. Can you see yourself in this story? We invite. Instead of passionate love (those on your own), we will provide you with relaxation in the sumptuous interiors of the restored palace. There will be massages, a sauna and a freshly caught zander for lunch. You will rest here in luxury and style.
We call it a palace, but in fact it was once a private home of a German surgeon and scientist. Dr. Georg Wagner loved animals, space, nature and his wife Maria. Occasionally, he purchased a land from her family on the Zalew Szczeciński and it was lucky that the opportunity was found, because today we can host you in this delightful location. The palace, built in the years 1902–1908, has been thoroughly restored - with respect for the neoclassical design and the ambition to frame history in a modern frame. It is a place for those who do not take prisoners while resting: they like to sleep on a king's bed and feel pampered. If this is about you, be fooled into Manowce. We are waiting for you with open arms and the scenery for a romantic story.
We invite you to the renovated Manowce Palace, located on the very shore of the Szczecin Lagoon. There are 3 apartments and 13 guest rooms at your disposal - we can accommodate 33 people in total. However, if you count the fold-out sofas and extra beds in some rooms, we can actually provide accommodation for 42 people. Each of the rooms has its own bathroom and TV.
You can choose from 3 apartments located in the palace (these are the most luxurious and are located on the upper floor of the palace). 6 palace rooms (they are double and are located in the attic of the palace) or 7 rooms in the outbuilding (their decor is a mixture of rustic and modern style).
As befits a palace, we have quite a lot of common space. In addition to the rooms, rest in common lounges decorated with beautiful antiques or in club rooms on the lower ground floor of the palace (these are ideal for chatting, sipping drinks, watching movies together or playing billiards). On the high ground floor there is a library, a card lounge and the main lounge where you will sink into the cushy sofas while sipping your coffee. On clear days, you can sit in the armchairs on the terrace and admire the view of the lagoon.
The palace is surrounded by a garden, well-kept lawns and an old park, which was established in the times of Dr. Wagner. According to some sources, it is one of the most valuable collections of trees and shrubs in Pomerania. The Nutcai cypress and the Caucasian wing, and the protected fern grow here: royal fern.
Breakfast for our guests is included in the price of the stay, and lunch and dinner are served from the restaurant card. We cook with regional products. We also have our own vegetable garden, where some of our seasonal vegetables come from. So you can find on the plate, for example, carpaccio from our pickled kohlrabi seasoned with herbs from our own garden.
Our specialty is fresh fish straight from the lagoon: zander and sea trout. There is a fishing village of Trzebież near us and we get them there straight from the fishermen. Farmed fish, on the other hand, we buy in Gospodarstwo Rybackie Zielenica. We use proven suppliers because we want you to eat what is the tastiest and freshest. We have cheeses from Mr. Marek from Sery Grądzkie - goat and cow cheeses are equally tasty and liked by our guests.
ATTENTION. The restaurant is closed on August 27-29.
We encourage you to relax in various guises - you can get bored with us, but you can not. The location of the Manowce Palace is outstanding and it is primarily worth using it when visiting us. What can be done?
- swim in a lagoon (canoe or swim - up to 100 m the water is shallow, so kids will also be able to use it safely),
- take a motorboat to the Baltic Sea - let us know and we will organize this attraction for you,
- fishing (we have a fishing boat and fishing rods for you),
- walk in the park, forest and go mushroom picking,
- ride a bike (bikes are already waiting for you),
- go golf (you can reach six 18-hole golf courses in less than an hour by car or motorboat, three in Poland and three in Germany).
You can (and even should) enjoy the interiors of the palace. We thought about your entertainment and many amenities. You can use our bio sauna, which is ideal for people who cannot tolerate very high temperatures, or order a massage. In the evenings you will play billiards, darts and have a drink in one of our spaces for guests. You can also stay in the rooms, put on comfortable beds and catch up on the series on Netflix and HBO. Just enjoy the comfort and indulge in pleasure.
And if you ever feel like going on a trip, you are in a very fortunate location.
- In one hour you will reach Szczecin, a city of exceptional charm and location. It is worth seeing its monuments, such as the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle, take a walk along the Chrobry Embankment, visit the National Museum in Szczecin with its impressive building. Also, do not miss the modern shape of the Szczecin Philharmonic. Its design cleverly refers to the sloping roofs of Szczecin's buildings.
- In 2.5 hours, you will be in Berlin. A trip there is a perfect idea for a day trip, and Berlin is a fascinating city with something for everyone: from architecture and art lovers to fans of club music and culinary discoveries.
- If you'd rather be in contact with nature than with the city, fine too. The Wolin National Park is within the range of the car trip. It is said that this is where the most beautiful Polish cliffs are located - they can be up to 93 meters high. And lovers of military attractions can also find the Underground City on Wolin Island, a complex of shelters built in the 1930s.
- You are even closer to the Szczecinski Puszcza Bukowa Landscape Park. It is an attraction primarily for people who like to walk among the trees. The park has an ecological site called Zgniły Mrzyb with an intimate lake where you can go fishing. But the Emerald Lake is definitely more impressive.
- Another landscape park worth visiting is the Lower Oder Valley. It is an ideal place to go kayaking, ornithological observations or admire the flora of the peat bogs. There are plants and animals not found in the valleys of other great rivers.
What’s there for children?
We invite you with kids of all ages. We have prepared many amenities that will allow you to relax with your little ones. There is a play area for the youngest in the palace, we also have toys, and the coastal waters of the lagoon are shallow - perfect for free splashing.
