Forest dream. Two words that describe our cabin.

Nestled in the shade of trees, on the edge of the Chočské vrchy forest, near the birthplace of the Slovak poet, who so loved the stars of the night sky.

She grew up on the site of the original, old cabin, built with the help of her grandparents. My clever husband Igor decided to breathe a new soul into it so that this heritage of his ancestors can leave a mark on the present and the future.

At first, only we enjoyed it, but now we want to convey this experience to all those who are looking for an escape from the collapse of the city in order to find the desired silence and comfort of the forest. Time is fast and hectic, more and more people are looking for peace and the simple legacy of nature.

The cabin has clean, minimalist lines, smells of wood, the hall reflects the presence of the forest, offers relaxation, peace and a reset. It draws energy from the sun, thanks to which you can enjoy warm chicory tea and heat water in the outdoor shower. By the way, when was the last time you took a shower in the open under the shade of trees?
And when did they fry bacon or bake potatoes in the old-school way?
Did they breathe the forest air at night, protected by warm duvets?
Did they hear the night rain drumming on the window directly above them?
Or did they rise with the sunrise?

Our cabin is located on the edge of the forest at an altitude of 655 m.a.s.l. and the view of the majestic (much higher) Choč is just a few steps away.

The cabin is small in area - 15 m2, but thanks to its design and functionality, everything is perfectly laid out. It is ideal for couples, individuals, it can fit a family of up to 4 members.

Layout:
- on the floor of the cabin you have a kitchenette, a sitting area with heating in the form of a stove and also a sofa directly under the window (by spreading it out you can turn it into a full-fledged sleeping place for 2 people)
- you can reach the attic via a ladder, where you can sleep in a set of max. 2 adults and 1 child
- outside there is a terrace with deckchairs, a hammock and a fireplace for grilling

ELECTRICITY FROM THE SUN & WATER
You can enjoy a normal bath with water here in a modified version - under the open sky from a solar shower. Our electricity is produced by the sun through a solar panel and we will prepare 30 liters of drinking water for you in storage tanks.
As with the shower, we have the same thing with the toilet - it's dry, sawdust and look for it outside.

HOW TO REACH US
From the parking lot in the village, where you park your car, you can reach our cabin in the forest on your own. It will take you about 15-20 minutes of walking. Of course, you will receive a map from us so you know where to walk.
And one more thing - let's get to the parking lot by 3:00 p.m. With the light in the forest, there are often different places, where unknown night forest paths could lead you everywhere. You can plan your arrival by 20:00 at the latest.

We expect that when you visit us, you will want to wander (not only) in the surrounding Chočské vrchy, and you will only have gastronomical cravings when you return.

The kitchenette offers everything needed to prepare simple dry food. We have an electric kettle here. You won't find a stove or refrigerator here. After all, you are on the edge of the avon, a fire is waiting for you - bacon or fragrant bacon roasted directly on the fire or potatoes baked in the oven will certainly be a great addition to the day.

It is up to you whether you will enjoy the peaceful moments of nature in the vicinity of the cabin, or you will get up early in the morning and prove to Choča that you can conquer it even from its steep side. (If you prefer a less demanding ascent, we recommend the starting "station" from Valaská Dubová - 7 km from Vyšné Kubín, direction Ružomberok).

For children, the Vlese cabin can be a breathtaking adventure. After climbing the ladder, they will take the floor with great joy, listen to the sound of the forest at night, stare intently into the dark and look for mayflies.
You can award them a beaver of courage for the evening "march" to the toilet, which you shine a flashlight on. Those are memories that you won't erase from their memory that quickly. That's what it's all about, to live the moments together and turn them into lasting memories.

However, the cabin is not suitable for very small children.
