Karpacka Sadyba

Karpacka Sadyba has scented logs, a stone floor, works of art by local artists and a terrace with a view of Smerek, Przełęcz Orłowicz, Hnatowe Berdo, Osadzki Wierch, Połonina Wetlińska and Caryńska. The smell of wood hits you from the entrance, and the attention to detail makes you feel the slightly coarse character of a real Bieszczady cottage. On the ground floor there is a fireplace, a family bench and table, a large sofa and an entertainment corner (with a TV, board games, DVDs, books and magazines). There is also a kitchen and a toilet. We have 10 beds in the attic: - large room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed (access to shared bathroom) - room with 1 double bed (access to private bathroom) - room with 1 double bed and 2 single beds (access to shared bathroom) - small room with 1 single bed (access to shared bathroom) - Additionally, downstairs there is a bedroom with a private bathroom and a double bed, with the possibility of adding an extra bed. We, i.e. Jagoda and Kuba, will welcome you in Karpacka Sadyba - they will check all the fuss. So far, we have traveled from the vicinity of Rzeszów, then a village located an hour from Smerek, but from January we will be in a house near Karpacka Sadyba - OUR first home! We respect your privacy, but if you have any problems, please knock. The second house will soon be available to couples and smaller groups. Each cottage has its own breathtaking view and absolutely does not affect the privacy of your stay in Karpacka Sadyba. You can use WI-FI throughout the cottage, despite the wild surroundings. So you will be able to work from here. But if you don't have to, we recommend putting away the electronics and listening to the sound of the wind. On one side of the house, at the back, we have neighbors. They also rent the house to guests, so it may happen that there will be someone in the area apart from you. However, we have an agreement that there is a quiet time here at 10 p.m., so there will be no partying after that hour. If you want to stay longer in the garden, there will be a covered fireplace waiting for you in the forest downstairs. We created this place out of love for the Bieszczady Mountains, as a springboard and a refuge where you can find peace, living a little outside of time. It is an ideal place to relax with your family, for two or to contemplate nature alone. And also a real paradise for photographers, ornithologists and anyone who appreciates clean air and closeness to nature. We are convinced that at least a few ideas for a poem and crazy plans to leave everything and go to the Bieszczady Mountains were born on the terrace.

I have been cooking with passion for years, but one of my biggest dreams is to share my love by preparing meals for others. If you would like a delicious, local breakfast basket (the price is PLN 30 per person - one basket is prepared for at least two people), please let us know a few days before arrival. There are three options to choose from: Bieszczady basket: full of more unleavened delicacies with a Bieszczady character, Vegan basket: homemade delicacies, not only for vegans, Sweet basket: for those who prefer less savory breakfasts. We have a well-equipped kitchen on site. Within a few kilometers you will find shops and restaurants, and if you prefer to get food from nature, you can always pick mushrooms or berries. We also recommend making your own pizza in a wood-fired oven! Next to the house there is a summer kitchen equipped with a grill, a pizza oven and a smokehouse. Near the cottage there is also a large, built-in fireplace with a drop-down grill, wooden benches and tables.

Let's start with nature. Once you have managed to recover from the incredible impression made by the view from the terrace (however, this impression inevitably returns, it cannot be cured, we have tried!), you can venture into the wilderness. There are hiking and cycling trails around and a forest where mushrooms fall into baskets during the season. You can listen to the sound of the wind, the sounds of the forest, and sometimes absolute silence, which can be the most extraordinary experience for those who live permanently in the city. Of course, many nearby attractions can be reached by car (we will be happy to recommend the most interesting places), but in our opinion, the essence of spending time in Sadyba is simplicity. Breakfast on the terrace just after sunrise, accompanied by a family of swallows that recently moved in with us, is an experience that recharges your batteries for the coming weeks. Guests have access to an underground Finnish sauna with a relaxation room (available for an additional fee). We will leave you with a foretaste of what you can experience in the area. – It is worth taking a trip along the trail of wooden Orthodox churches. There are about 30 of them in the entire region, and most of these buildings have been preserved in the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains. In Smolnik nad Sanem, for example, 30 km from here, there is an Orthodox church inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is one of the three surviving churches built in the Boyko style. – You are quite close to the route of the Bieszczady Forest Railway - a narrow-gauge train that runs through the surrounding valleys. Its history dates back to the 19th century, and at the beginning it was used to transport wood. The cable car runs from May to October. – The Sine Wiry nature reserve on a several-kilometer long section of the Wetlina River will enchant you with the view of interesting rock formations on the river and the “Moose from Zawoju” – a tree resembling an moose. – After Blue Wiry, see Chmielowe Kaskady. These are regular stone steps on a section of the San River, which can be seen from a viewing point. And after going down, soak your feet in the river in the summer. – Although we believe that the most beautiful view is from our terrace, it is also worth seeing the one from the bridge in Rajsko over the San River. It's like a postcard. – And if, instead of paintings painted by nature, you want to see those painted by human hands, go to the Beksiński gallery in Sanok. This is where the artist came from and it is there that you can see over 600 of his works (including the painting he completed on the day of his death!).
