There used to be a palace complex among the hills of Warmia, in the vicinity of the lake. The property was owned by the von Olsen family. The former palace in the 1930s was an agricultural school, then it was taken over by the Nazi authorities, and in 1945 it was burnt down by the Red Army. The stone and brick buildings survived from the entire complex: a barn, a blacksmith's shop, a granary and a starch factory. We invite you today. The building from 1862 hides in its interior thick wooden beams and walls made of stone and brick, which give it a unique atmosphere. The spacious house can accommodate a family or a group of friends, a total of 9 people. In the 350-meter interior, you will find: - 4 bedrooms with double beds (three downstairs, one, the largest with a mosquito net bed and hammocks upstairs), - 1 single room with a sofa bed, - 2 bathrooms (bathroom with a free-standing bathtub and a stove downstairs and a bathroom with a shower upstairs), - living room with kitchen and dining room with a large table, And on the outside: - terrace, - a place for a bonfire, - and 5,000 m² of space. On the ground floor you can cook, feast at a shared table and relax in the lounge area with sofas and armchairs, where you can find: - 100 inch drop down screen and projector (we have Apple TV), - a pool table that, when folded, will allow you to play ping pong, - a dart board, - 2 hammock swings, - goat. The interior gives each guest space and a sense of privacy. You can hide in it and experience moments of peace. Reach is different here, thick walls make it the best in the living room. There is a rocking chair on the porch and sun loungers on the back terrace. There is a fireplace next to the house and a swing is hanging from the tree.

When the house came into our hands, the kitchen was in a corner room with an old tiled stove. We huddled in this small space, because the kitchen is the heart of the house and everyone always ends up there. During the renovation, we created the kitchen in an open space, combining it with the dining room and living room, creating the heart of our home and you don't have to crowd around anymore, because there is plenty of space for every place. You prepare your meals with us. As we spend a lot of time in this house, we made sure that the kitchen was well equipped. It is large and spacious, and at the same time very atmospheric. It is decorated with hand-cut lamps made of canoes, clay trinkets made by Dorota and atmospheric objects. You can eat your meal by a wooden island with high stools or in the dining area with a table. The nearest small shop is in Łężany (5 km), and the bigger one can be found in Reszel (9 km), but there is a mobile shop almost right in front of the house, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. When around 11 am you hear a loud horn, it is a sign that he is here. Below you will find a list of nearby restaurants. You can buy delicious sheep's cheeses at the ecological farm Ranch Frontiera (15 km from us). Apple trees with sour apples and plums grow in our garden, you can help yourself to them in the season. From our hostess, Mrs. Krysia, you can order eggs from happy hens and organic potatoes. And from our neighbor, honey from our own apiary. If you fancy delicious home-made bread and hand-made dumplings, we will share the information with the lady who is known in the area. We also have good contacts for fans of fresh fish, and those who like can try their hand at fishing. The members of the fishing club in Łężany will provide advice. We will provide you with all the information on the spot.

It's just nice to be with us in a family or a friendly circle. But no pressure, because this house gives you freedom. Everyone usually meets in the kitchen, sometimes they cook together, and they certainly eat their meals, and then everyone goes about their business. Among the entertainment in the living room, there are: hammock swings, a large selection of board games, a pool table which, when folded, will become a ping-pong table, a large, roll-out screen for watching movies and a goat that will pleasantly warm the interior on cooler evenings. In the yard you can play badminton or boules (game sets are waiting at the cottage), on the terrace you can put out deckchairs or play on a swing suspended by the forest. Outside, it is idyllic and rural, which you may find on your way to us, when you are stopped by cows walking along the way. The atmosphere is built by bird songs and evening owls' hooting. Sometimes storks or cranes will fly overhead. What's up in the neighborhood? - There is about 500 meters to the Legińskie lake, and there is a pleasant descent and a piece of grass that will be great for putting up a picnic blanket. There is a public beach on the lake and plenty of wild swimming areas. - On the other side of the lake, in Łężany, you can see the palace and the park, and when you come back you can visit Lake Widryńskie. - 8 km from Legin is Reszel, known for its medieval castle and uniform brick architecture. There are many shops, restaurants and cafes. The castle has an art gallery, a hotel and a very good restaurant. - 12 km from here begins the canoeing trail of the Krutynia rafting, there is also the recommended We Młynie restaurant and the ecological Frontier ranch, which produces mainly sheep's cheese. - At the same distance, but in a different direction, lies the village of Święta Lipka - a famous pilgrimage point, also known for organ concerts. - 30 km from here is the Wolf's Lair - in the years 1941-44 the headquarters of Adolf Hitler. - The palace and farm in Galiny with a horse stud, hotel and restaurant are 34 km away from us. - In 35 minutes you will get to Mrągowo. - In less than half an hour you will reach Biskupiec, with a market square with seven streets diverging towards 4 corners of the world, at right angles, bourgeois houses and the former town hall. At Plac Wolności, you can see the largest collection of cameras in Poland. The sunsets are best admired from the position of a sun lounger on the terrace, sometimes on the horizon you can see our neighbor Frank with his granddaughter. In the evening, you can put something on the grill on the fire and enjoy the warmth and sound of the fire.
