Welcome to the farm. Parker Farm. And the Parkers are us - Ola and Mike. We found our private paradise in Janowice, less than an hour from Krakow, in a completely remote area near the former Cistercian village of Szczyrzyc. You should know that everything on our plot focuses on contact with nature, organic farming, healthy food, and the reset that can be experienced by focusing on a simple life. We convinced our Krakow jazz musician friends (and a few from New York) to test the pleasures of farming. Now we will persuade them to return and play concerts in the vegetable amphitheatre.
The interior of a gray house with a cherry roof will help you experience the pleasures of nature in comfort. It will pamper your senses with a joyful palette of colors, cozy minimalism, and the sounds of music from the record player with the fire crackling in the fireplace. Mike made most of the furniture himself from local cherry wood, learning carpentry from YouTube. He made every effort to use each of the 350,000 square centimeters of space as well as possible. Inside, there is a mezzanine with a queen bed and a view of the stars, an open main room with the kitchen and dining room facing the hills of Beskid Wyspowy, and a relaxation corner with a comfortable sofa. We share cherries from an old tree by the house with guests and birds alike. Enjoy them swinging in the hammock below. We will also be happy to treat you with the crops of our land. Because it is good to rest where there are no distractions around in order to discover what is most important.

Mike is a jazz musician from New York, Ola is a speech therapist from Opole. They live together with their dog Pietruszka in Krakow. They always loved traveling and the outdoors, so when the pandemic started and they both couldn't work, they decided to put their time and energy into creating their own secluded paradise. They found the perfect location with old fruit trees surrounded by forests and a mountain view and Mike proposed to Ola on the spot of their future farm house. After 2 years of hard work designing and custom building each part of the house and farm (with a lot of education from YouTube), they are very happy to welcome you as their guest. They are interested in growing a large variety of fruits and vegetables using organic and permaculture techniques, good design, and grilling under the stars in any kind of weather.

Here in Janowice we have what could be described as a 'tiny house', but you would never know it is only 35 m2 unless we told you. It is compact but well organized with everything you need and nothing you don't. Based on natural materials, a vibrant color palette and a minimalist interior design, the interior will appeal to aesthetes and lovers of nice objects.
The interior is spacious thanks to the high ceiling, large windows and open space of the kitchen and dining room.
Inside you will find:
– a bedroom with a queen bed on the mezzanine, which although it has no doors, has 4 walls and provides privacy
– a kitchen with a dining room
– a seating area with a sofa bed (which can sleep an additional 2 people), a fireplace, a turntable and a set of records
– a bathroom with a shower
There is a terrace in front of the house.
Our farmhouse has a modern form and is made of gray wood. We covered it with a cherry red roof, characteristic of the region. It looks as if it has been here forever.
From three sides the house is surrounded by a forest, from the south it has a view of the hills of Beskid Wyspowy.
We have no neighbors, but sometimes you will see cows grazing in the distance. We have our own orchard and vegetable garden .

The heart of our house is undoubtedly a bright and spacious kitchen. The kitchen island located opposite the balcony door is the focal point of the interior. Cooking takes place with a framed view of the hills of Beskid Wyspowy. There is: a large worktop space, a five-burner kitchen and a set of pots, pans and dishes necessary for cooking and serving prepared dishes.
Outside, we have prepared a place for a bonfire with a grill, on which you can prepare various roasts. We recommend grilling under the stars.
You can go to nearby Jodłownik for honey, and at Eko Farma in Pogorzany you can go for a tasting of craft cider or apple wine.
We are developing a farm based on the principles of permaculture and we plan to create a food forest. Our goal is sustainable food production. We have already planted nearly every kind of fruit tree and shrub that can grow in the region. Our craziest idea is the vegetable amphitheater. We want our land to yield as much fruit, vegetables and nuts as possible, which we grow without the use of any fertilizers. In the season, we will be happy to treat you with our crops.

You will have full privacy here, an undisturbed sense of being cut off from reality and a view of the hills of the Beskid Wyspowy. We also have for you:
– a hammock among the trees
– eating fruits straight from the bushes or trees
– possibility to prepare dishes that can be eaten in the garden under the pear tree
– yoga sessions on the grass or on the terrace, just take a mat with you
– evenings by the fire crackling and the sounds of music (we have a gramophone and a collection of records, but you can also connect by bluetooth for your favorite playlist on Spotify)
– mornings, afternoons and evenings with a book on the terrace or on the mezzanine
– staring at the sky full of clouds or stars while preparing delicacies on the grill by the fire
– staring at the curious cows that you see in the pasture.

– from Chabowka go on a journey by retro train
– the robber cave in Łopień, witch corridors of total length of 443 meters. The cave is inhabited by one of the largest colonies of bats. Unfortunately, you cannot enter it.
– Lake Dobczyckie and the ruins of the royal castle

Here the youngest experience a carefree childhood filled with laughter, running barefoot in the meadow and eating fruit straight from the tree. Children enjoy the charms of rural life, watch grazing cows and different kinds of birds. They collect wildflowers and make bouquets or wreaths, swing on hammocks and climb trees. They will learn the joy of simple pleasures and will get to know the secrets of nature without limits.
Worth visiting with children:
– to Zagroda Przytulnie for feeding young goats, meeting e.g. with guinea pigs, hens, ponies and rabbits, and numerous workshops
– to the Indian village in Szczyrzyc, charmingly situated in an old Beskid orchard, where you can visit life-sized tents, get to know the life of the Indians, participate in games and activities and in workshops
– to the Eco Farm in Pogorzany for ecological workshops.

There are bus stops in both Jodłownik and Szczyrzyc - not so far from Parker Farm. If you decide to take a bus trip, let us know and we will pick you up when possible or try to help you find transport. You can walk if you are interested in a 3.2 km hike. It also could be possible for us to provide transport by car to and from Krakow by prior arrangement

For dogs owners:
Well-behaved adult dogs are welcome, but please do not bring puppies and other dogs which might cause serious damage. There is a wooden dog bed which you can use, however you must bring your own blanket- so our dog is not offended ;) If it is rainy or muddy, please clean your dog before it enters the house. At the moment, there is a large opening under the fence at the far end of the plot which goes into the forest.

Fantastyczne miejsce na odpoczynek od miejskiego zgiełku. Wokół sama przyroda, obserwacja ptasich drapieżników kołujacych w pobliżu, porykiwania jeleni wieczorem, morze gwiazd w nocy, można zobaczyć drogę mleczną a to rzadkość. Rano obserwacja goniących się wiewiórek. Gorąco polecam.
Wspaniale miejsce na wyrwanie się z miasta! Przepiękna okolica, spokój, wspaniałe widoki i bardzo przyjemnie urządzony domek. Kontakt z Olą i Mike’iem bardzo dobry. Wszystko było idealnie 🤩
Piękne miejsce z fantastycznym widokiem. Gospodarze bardzo sympatyczni :) cudowna cisza i spokój. Idealne miejsce na szybki wypad na weekend.
