Hello! This is not an ordinary accommodation offer on Slowhop. This is an invitation to a unique Spanish language course combined with discovering the real Andalusia. With a tour of the area, with wine, delicious food, new friends and in the unique atmosphere of the Rec.On Project Spain artistic residence. For 5 years, we have been creating a place here that attracts open, creative and curious people who want to taste the local nature of our corner of Spain.

For 7 beautiful days, none of which will be the same, you will experience the living Spanish language and culture. After breakfast with local products, we will invite you to lessons with a professional teacher, and then - to get to know Andalusia. We will visit the local historic pueblos, visit honey and goat cheese factories, and in the evening we will have fun at a fiesta. You will meet our friends who create a community organized around this place. And during trips and moments spent at the table over many feasts, you will have excellent conditions to improve your language skills.

Our courses are small: from 5 to 10 people. You can stay in a single room or come as a couple. You won't miss anything, because in addition to learning the language, we provide full board and plenty of attractions. Let yourself be taken on this unique journey!

We invite you to a unique Spanish language course at our Rec.On Project Spain Artistic Residency. It is an enclave of travelers, digital nomads and artists from all over Europe. Our land at the foot of the mountains is located in the Sierra Estancia in Andalusia, 12 km from the historic white pueblo of Velez Rubio. We live here our own way, in harmony with what is important to us. We lead a healthy, ecological lifestyle that provides space for freedom and creativity. You will feel this spirit in every square meter of our Spanish habitat.

The 150-year-old buildings contain rooms and spaces for creative work and relaxation, and the whole area is surrounded by a permaculture garden with organic vegetables and herbs. The entire area is a "Living Gallery" of handmade furniture made of recycled materials. While here, you can both admire them and use artistic installations prepared especially for guests, such as: summer kitchens, a tree house, a summer shower, sanitary facilities, areas with hammocks, places for meditation and chill, an eco bottle with spring water instead of swimming pool:) – all in the spirit of conscious Upcycling Design.

REC.ON Project Spain is a place for creative and open people. For those who want to share their passions and values. And also for those who are not indifferent to the fate of the natural environment and want to be close to nature. This is what can be created when an artist and an environmental engineer join forces.

We will serve you delicious, aromatic meals based on products from our own eco-garden. There will also be seafood, locally produced cheeses and meats, real olive oil, tasty spreads. You will taste Spanish cuisine at its best, locally enriched with other flavors and our healthy, colorful recipes. Full board is included in the price of the course.

On the first day you will have dinner with us, then 3 meals a day, and on the last day only breakfast.

– visit to a goat cheese factory combined with tasting,
– exploring the best local tapas bars in the Los Velez region: Velez Rubio, Velez Blanco, Maria,
– a one-day trip to a less frequented beach on the Mediterranean Sea,

DAY 1 – Saturday: Arrival at Rec.On Project
On this day you will arrive at Rec.On Project. Upon arrival you will be warmly welcomed by our team. You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with our project, see Eco&Art Village Residence and feel the atmosphere of this place.

DAY 2 – Sunday: Trip to the white towns (pueblos blancos)
After breakfast, we will start Spanish workshops with our teacher. In the afternoon, we would like to invite you on a trip to the charming white town of Velez Blanco, where there is a magnificent Renaissance building with an amazing view from the terrace. The small town at the foot of the castle hill delights with its narrow streets and historic buildings. We will walk through the picturesque streets of the town and stop to taste tapas and enjoy a glass of vino tinto.

DAY 3 – Monday: Visit to the BIO honey factory from the Los Velez region
After delicious coffee and a home-made breakfast, you will have strength for another Spanish lesson. And after that... you will go on a fascinating visit to an organic honey factory. You will learn about the production process of this delicious natural product and taste different varieties of honey. It will also be a great opportunity to practice Spanish!

DAY 4 – Tuesday: Trip to a beautiful beach
Today is going to be amazing! You will spend it on a beautiful, secluded beach. In winter, the sun in Andalusia can be strong and the temperature reaches up to 25 degrees! The coast is decorated with wonderful rock formations, immersed in the warm, azure sea. We chose a beach that is not popular with tourists, only visited by local residents. There are no bars or hotels nearby, but that's part of the charm of the place. Instead, you will relax in the sun's rays and the sound of the waves. During this day you can do whatever you want.

DAY 5 – Wednesday: “Live” Spanish workshops
Prepare for a day full of opportunities to improve your Spanish language skills and fully immerse yourself in the local culture. After your morning lesson, you will have some free time to relax in the permaculture garden or explore the area on your own. In the afternoon to evening you will have the pleasure of spending time with your teacher and local Spanish-speaking friends whom you will meet thanks to Paulina and Bart. You will converse exclusively in Spanish over delicious tapas and drinks, providing you with the perfect opportunity to practice and improve your language skills.

DAY 6 – Thursday: Trip to Gorafe and Lake Negratin
After your morning Spanish lesson, we will take you on a small trip to Almagruz Troglodyte. Once you arrive, you'll see amazing views of the Guadix Depression. Visitors can explore authentic cave houses and exhibitions to immerse themselves in prehistoric times and learn about the region's fascinating past. The entire tour will be conducted in Spanish. After the tour, you will have a delicious lunch at one of the local bars, and then we will go on a short trip to Lake Negratin.

DAY 7 – Friday: Visit to an organic farm producing goat cheese
In the morning there will be a language lesson with your teacher. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to test your language skills on a visit to a goat cheese farm run by Cintia. Thanks to her passion for environmental protection and the production of traditional food products, Cintia has created a small but dynamically developing company that produces a variety of delicious cheeses. Of course, you will not miss their tasting.

DAY 8 – Saturday: End of the journey
The last day of your trip is time to wrap up and say goodbye. After breakfast and any packing, we will say goodbye to you and we know that you will not want to leave.

We leave the kids at home and come to Andalusia alone: learn Spanish, talk to other adults, party and get infected with good energy.

In our residence there are places conducive to work and workshop spaces. If during the course you need to deal with some business matter, there will be space for it. By assumption, however, what we will work on here is learning Spanish and getting to know Andalusia, so don't expect work ;)
