In the highest part of Zakopane, at 1,000 meters above sea level and in the buffer zone of the Tatra National Park, we will teach you how to slow down. The hustle and bustle of Zakopane, the abundance of colors and the tourist madness do not reach here. It's a completely different Zakopane. Immersed in nature, drawing on its architectural tradition, close to mountain trails and the Capowski Forest, where you can find very rare plants - Issler's clubmoss and Kotuli's aconite. Here we fulfilled our dream of a large space surrounded by nature, where relaxation is the principle and hosting is a genuine need that comes straight from the heart. For 4 years, we carefully selected each piece of furniture and each cup, imported existing stone to cover the wall, threaded beads onto the mohair strings of the chandeliers and added an orangery. There are no coincidences here, there are pleasures and aesthetic experiences. There is an invitation to travel for inspirations coming from the warmth of minimalist interiors and the surroundings of wild raspberries, ferns, 30-year-old tree limbs, on whose trunks squirrels jump and whose cones are the greatest delicacy for the nutcrackers that come here. We invite you to enjoy tofu scramble or pancakes in the morning, sit in the shade of spruce trees and spend evenings by the fireplace with steam. We build relationships here, we open ourselves with curiosity to every two- and four-legged person and we practice the art of resting.
We invite you to a place surrounded by Tatra nature, created out of the heart, love for good design and the desire to fulfill yourself in hospitality at the highest level. In the buffer zone of the Tatra National Park, in the highest district of Zakopane - Toporowa Cyrhla, at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level. our green, 50-are plot is located. We have restored the building here, preserving the original shape of the house in the Zakopane style. There are 14 rooms in a boutique atmosphere, a common space and a restaurant. We have also built three modern 54-meter houses with two bedrooms. They are located off the beaten track to provide privacy for families or groups of friends. We built the new buildings, taking care to preserve the trees growing on the plot, including 30-year-old limbs.
Each room has a slightly different, but matching nature, decor and very large windows. Some have private gardens with terraces, others have balconies or huge glazing overlooking the mountains or forest. Details about each room can be found by clicking on them in the gallery above. Most of the furniture was created by Polish designers and craftsmen, and the materials we use are natural and high quality.
We have prepared for you:
– anti-allergic mattresses with silver ions and coconut (we can adjust the mattress hardness for you),
– interiors in a warm, minimalist style referring to the Tatra nature, using natural materials such as wood, linen, wool, stone, steel,
– natural, sustainably produced Rituals cosmetics,
– safe, fridge, coffee or tea making facilities in each room.
The common space has an ecological electric fireplace, soft sofas and a selection of albums. We added an orangery to the outer wall of the house, which houses a restaurant. There is a large, rustic wooden table where you can sit down to work after breakfast.
For a good start to the day, we invite you for breakfast. You will be able to choose from hot dishes from the menu (classic scrambled eggs and pancakes - we might add that they are the most delicious we have ever eaten), as well as something more original (like a baguette with eggs and smoked trout topped with Hollandaise sauce or tofu scramble). Our menu changes seasonally. We have also prepared a rustic buffet with our pastries, cold meats, cheeses, yogurts with granola and other delicacies.
In the afternoon, in our Bistro Korzenie, you will be able to try the homemade cake of the day, as well as drink specialty coffee, infusion, kombucha, homemade lemonade and other specialties. In our bar you can celebrate various occasions or simply evenings - with a glass of selected wine, cocktails and other drinks.
You don't have to move from here. You can, because we are adjacent to a forest where you can find peace and, in season, mushrooms. You can if you would like to experience the cultural charm of Zakopane. You can also go to the mountains, but sometimes there is no need at all. You will find numerous spaces for thorough relaxation. We created several of them on the 50-are area - there are cushions for lounging, deckchairs for exposing your face to the sun, tables with chairs for enjoying specialty coffee in nature. There is also nature at your fingertips - you will be surrounded by ferns, peloids, moss, wild raspberries, spruces and pine trees. The latter's cones are a favorite delicacy of nutcrackers and squirrels, who can watch them endlessly racing through the trees.
The warm minimalism of the interiors refers to the colors outside the window. In every space, the eyes, head and body rest. Design is meant to inspire and trigger creativity. The common relaxation space has an ecological electric fireplace, comfortable sofas and a large selection of books and albums about art, travel and slow living.
If you would like to hit the trails, we have great news for you - you can start straight from us. If you're in a hurry, arrive before the hotel check-in, leave your car here and go! You will reach Nosal in about 1.5 hours. Two trails start from our district - Toporowa Cyrhla. The red trail will lead you through Psia Trawka, Waksmundzka Polana and Wodogrzmoty Mickiewicza to Morskie Oko. The green trail through Wielki Kopieniec and the Olczyska Valley will lead you to Jaszczurówka.
In winter, it is worth taking (or renting) skis and using the well-prepared ski slopes. Walks are the most pleasant in spring and summer. Go to Antałówka, Butorowy Wierch and Morskie Oko (although it's best during the week and early in the morning to avoid crowds). It is also worth going for a walk in the Kościeliska and Chochołowskie Valleys (you can bike here, it is most charming in autumn). From Hala Gąsienicowa you can go to Czarny Staw and visit Murowaniec, and enjoy a cup of tea and apple pie with a view of Świnica, Głosiec and former shepherd's huts. There is also the largest valley in the Polish High Tatras - the Valley of Five Polish Ponds, where the Wielka Siklawa waterfall and a shelter are located. When you are in Zakopane in autumn, you will hear the deer rut in the Mała Łąka Valley.
If you just want to look and not climb, remember that there is a gondola lift to Kasprowy Wierch and a funicular railway to Gubałówka.
The following routes will provide you with peaceful but charming walks: from Krupówki to Krzeptówki through Kościeliska Street and from Rondo Jana Pawła II through Koziniec and Jaszczurówka, up to Kuźnice (you will see many examples of the Zakopane style in architecture). There is a stop near the hotel, from where you can take line number 11 to Krupówki.
Once you get to the center, it is worth visiting one (or several) places from the list with the "art" tag. You can choose from: the Tatra Museum, Willa Oksza designed by Stanisław Witkiewicz, which houses an art gallery, Antoni Rząsa Gallery, Orski Gallery, Grzegorz Pecuch Sculpture Gallery, Władysław Hasior Gallery, Sabałówka.
The cultural (and definitely unique) calendar of events in Zakopane is full, regardless of the season, most of them allow you to get to know the highlander culture and folklore better:
– March Film Festival on Art,
– Mountain Folklore Festival – an international holiday lasting 7 days, during which highlanders from all over the world present their cultural heritage,
– International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music,
– Jazz Spring,
– International Mountain Folklore Festival,
– International Festival "Music on the Peaks".
What’s there for children?
We are surrounded by nature and have a large green area. Children can admire plants, bugs and squirrels jumping on trees. However, we do not have special attractions prepared for children. We are open to guests of all ages, but we do not hide the fact that we have created here, above all, a place for thorough relaxation.
What’s there for employees?
In each room and in each house you will find a work corner. There are desks, comfortable chairs or pouffes. You can also use the common space and work at a large table located in our restaurant. We won't provide you with silence, but our work will be more pleasant thanks to specialty coffee, teas and infusions.
