In the very heart of pre-war Zakopane, where the paths of its discoverers and the first conquerors of the Tatra Mountains once crossed, stands Villa Elżbiecina. It was 1912 when Wojtek Roj, a highlander and carpenter who was friends with Chałubiński, built it on a plot of land given to him by the famous philanthropist. Back then there was only a forest here. In the 1920s, the house came into the hands of the Korfantys and became a meeting place for politicians, writers and artists. It was Elżbieta Korfantowa, whose name our villa is named after, who expanded it with a spacious kitchen with an entrance from the garden. You will probably eat many leisurely breakfasts on her veranda. And just like a hundred years ago, the restored Witkiewicz-style villa is now a meeting place again. First our family, now also yours. We carefully reconstructed and renovated it. We painstakingly discovered her story. Driven by love for Małgosia's hometown and fascination with Zakopane, we restored it to its former glory. It is full of period furniture, antique lamps, trinkets, paintings and other trinkets that, although old, are still in use. And the villa, as befits a distinguished centenarian, has retained its pre-war layout of rooms. And although it is warm like a family home, it has the standard of a 5-star hotel.
Our house can accommodate quite a large family - up to 20 people. We have 8 comfortable double bedrooms with bathrooms, with single or double beds, and we can also accommodate 3 hotel extra beds. For the youngest we will find baby cots with bedding. We offer our guests:
· common parts of the villa (spacious dining room, music lounge, TV lounge, entrance hall, fully equipped kitchen),
· large terrace,
· beautiful and well-kept garden with a barbecue area,
· private SPA (jacuzzi, dry sauna, wet sauna, sensory shower, relaxation area)
· 8 luxurious double hotel rooms, including a two-level apartment with a large bathtub overlooking Giewont.
We managed to keep the most important rooms on the ground floor unchanged - the dining room and two living rooms. After cleaning and conservation, we can admire the original preserved ceilings, pine timbers (including the main one in the dining room dating back to 1912), walls made of huge spruce flats and beautifully restored stoves that are still heating today.
Each room of the villa has its own character and specificity. The southern ones on the garden side are bright, sunny, warm and open to the mountains - we recommend them to early birds. Those facing the east and north allow for a good night's sleep and are the quietest - this is where sleepyheads usually stay. Attic rooms are popular with women, young people and hard-working people - who wouldn't want an office with such a view! We always give the large room on the ground floor to seniors so that they do not have to climb the stairs. There is also a two-level apartment, our favorite 13. All in turquoise and blue, with a large double bathtub overlooking Giewont.
Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) and the use of open fire are strictly prohibited in the villa. We also do not accept pets.
Willa Elżbiecina is a perfect place to organize unique private and social events as well as business and corporate events, as well as exclusive photo sessions, presentations, conferences, concerts and anniversaries.
The importance of food was already known 100 years ago by Elżbieta Korfantowa, who decided to add a large kitchen to our villa with a separate entrance from the yard. The kitchen is the heart of the house and is well-equipped. You can eat your meals on the veranda adjacent to the kitchen.
Various celebrations take place in our dining room with a large pre-war table that can accommodate all the household members. Our greatest achievement is the creation of a restaurant for 40 guests on the ground floor of the villa! Who cooks then? – you will ask. Sławek Kardaś – we will answer. In such cases, we cooperate with the excellent Bubuja Bistro restaurant in Zakopane and with its chef we prepare an individual menu and provide professional waiter and bartender service. This is what our big events look like.
We will also tell you a secret: the most pleasant thing is when our favorite chef cooks together with our guests. Then you can help, try, talk and lick your fingers!
However, man does not live only by cooking. We ourselves like to visit various culinary corners of Zakopane (not necessarily those located near Krupówki) and we will be happy to advise you where to eat well. The owner of Willa Elżbieciny, even when woken from the deepest sleep, will always recommend Cukiernia Samanta on nearby Witkiewicza Street.
Each of us is different and everyone needs their own space to relax. Willa Elżbiecina can please everyone. At this point, we could actually write that even if you don't go outside Elżbiecina's gate, you will have a great time there. A large garden with a barbecue area, terrace, library, gym and SPA encourage you to celebrate time with your loved ones.
After crossing the gate, we quickly fall into the rhythm of the bustling city - or, on the contrary, we slowly reach the Tatra trails. The location of the villa halfway between the lower Krupówki Street and the cable car station to Kasprowy Wierch, next to the main pedestrian route that once led from Nawsie (the oldest part of Zakopane) to Kuźnice, creates ideal conditions for Zakopane activities. We highly recommend hiking to everyone. The mountains are for everyone. We encourage children to start their Tatra adventure at the TPN Nature Education Center, which is only 300 m from our house towards the mountains.
Now let's go in the opposite direction, i.e. down to Krupówki. There is also something to do here, and even if you are not a fan of the crowds and Zakopane's attractions, they can also have their charm. Especially in winter, when, seemingly aimlessly wandering around and drinking mulled wine, we look at colorful stalls and unnoticed we reach the foot of Gubałówka Mountain, and then, attracted by the light and view, take a cable car to its top.
There is also another direction, our own paths traveled out of the need for completely different experiences. This is about a personal desire to experience the art, culture and present of our little homeland. If you would like to get to know Zakopane from this side, please visit us. We will take you to the facilities of the Tatra Museum, with which we are friends, numerous art galleries, Czerwony Dwór with its interior filled with the works of local artists, to vernissages, exhibitions, concerts, we will show you pearls of Zakopane architecture, the most beautiful Christmas nativity scenes, charming wooden churches and places where we usually go. a walk. We can also go deeper and invite you during the International Mountain Folklore Festival, let you touch a real highlander costume, tell you about Tibets, corsets and kierpce, and even take you to the workshop where highlander women dress.
What’s there for employees?
If you want or need to do a little work, we have created conditions for this in each of our bedrooms. You will find desks, desks, tables, dressing tables with space for a laptop and mouse, some old-fashioned lamps and a completely modern LAN socket for connecting a computer. There is wireless high-speed Internet throughout the house. We usually set up our office in the kitchen, although on hot summer days we sometimes work in the garden in a shelter air-conditioned directly by Foluszowy Potok.
Our creativity knows no limits and on the ground floor and in the garden of the villa we have already had a scientific conference for 100 people, a lecture hall, multimedia presentations, online events and business working meetings. We are able to change the interior design depending on the number of guests and their needs.
