Kamienny Młyn Wodny Łowczego

Add the name of your place

Location Poland, Mazovia Province, Patków
Once upon a time, the Toczna River had many mill wheels, which shared the fate of our house ... It turned into a ruin, grew moss, and trees and ferns spread out inside. We found it like that, but this is a long story, visible only on the pages of a photo album. We took care of it and provided a different, more warm and family life. Full of shoes placed at the door, hands warmed up by the fireplace, children's mouths and feet examining the dew. We are crazy about the river that flows under the window, the wild beach three steps from the door and the forest nearby. It is quiet, it is peaceful, it is wonderful ... and we want to share this miracle with our guests now! We invite you to a unique holiday home where everything is green as before, where the river has been flowing along the same bed for centuries, although it is less wide than it used to be. It is a bit like in Italian movies, where the rush is irrational and the truth is in nature and wine. You can discover the magic of the area for yourself, abandoning cars, shoes and conventions. Everyone is who they want here ... and all this is only 130 km from Warsaw. Welcome!

Here Slowhop will describe your place

Host:
Karolina
Mama Hania and daughter Karolina. One's a historian, the other is a lawyer. Both are devotees and owners of several dogs (exactly three dogs and three cats). A mill is basically a "child" of the first one, although the latter proudly likes to be referred to as its manager;)

We provide accommodation for max. 8 people on an open, wooden mezzanine. However, do not expect closed rooms and borders - the mezzanine is family, friendly, egalitarian - it does not recognize divisions and walls. In the evening, the kids tell each other ghost stories, and the parents downstairs whisper nice things to each other, staring at the fire. We have 2 double beds and 2 single beds, but extra beds can be provided on request. The rental price includes bed linen and towels. Downstairs there is an atmospheric living room with an equipped kitchen, you can fry a pheasant or a guinea fowl on it, then go in front of the fireplace and listen to how Toczna flows.

The Młyn has a well-equipped kitchen and outdoor barbecue facilities. On rainy days, you can bake something on the grill in our fireplace. It is very likely that you will not want to visit nearby restaurants, but if it did - we have several checked addresses.

It's best to let go of everything, take the scent of the city off you, take a deep breath and just live for a while. For us, life in the Stone Hunting Water Mill means, for example, such revelations: - cycling (and we have two of them :)) in the wilderness of the Bug River areas - running to a wild beach by the river. There may also be a creep, a bigger jump, like a frog. It's right next to the house - exactly 5 meters (!) From the door! - a small canoe trip on the Toczna River - grilling or eating something baked on the fire, sipping homemade tincture prepared by the owners, all under a tree or on green grass - reading aloud poems on the river bank or the prose of Żeromski, who was a frequent guest in these parts - running after the dog. We like dogs, we have our own den and bowl for them. Let them also feel like guests! - sitting in front of the fireplace in winter and in the evening and talking about literature. Or math. As someone preferes... - long bath in the tub. Finally! - sightseeing in the vicinity: Drohiczyn, the famous stud in Janów Podlaski, there is also a palace in Korczewo and a few other things. We will tell you what ... - tasting the local cuisine. We will provide the appropriate coordinates.

We have a bit of a country of childhood here, where you follow ants, catch the water in the river with your hand and make a map of the forest, because there is a forest. You can play a net, a leg, board games, or stick your grandmothers in the sand. We also have a TV and free WiFi (often being a last resort for parents;)

How do I get there?

Icon Car

Our address: , Patków, Mazovia Province, Poland

Translated by Google Translate.

The facility is approx. 130 km away from Warsaw and it is best to follow the road through Siedlce-Łosice-Niemojki-Patków. The facility is not located on any street, because it is in a forest, hence no detailed address can be provided. In Niemojki, by the church, we turn right. When you get to Patkowo from Niemojeki, go straight (although the priority road will turn left) and go through the whole village until the asphalt ends and reach the forest; then go into the forest, turning left. After approx. 300 m of forest road you will get straight to the building.

Odwiedziłam wraz z przyjaciółką Młyn w październiku i taką porę polecam też innym gościom.
