Even a fairytale world full of stories, tales and legends can have its official and unofficial versions. The official version speaks of the robber Urban - who beat and who was helped by his 3 sisters. But what if it was all the other way around? As they say in today's world, behind every successful man is a strong woman. And here they were probably 3. An enterprising spirit, similar to an egg egg, was clever and not even hard to overcome. So how? We like this unofficial version;) And so that these 3 "business women" can occasionally let off steam and soak up a bath with warm water, there are now 3 cottages under Urban Hill. They belong to them - Urban's sisters, the gray eminence, enterprising women. Each of them has a different character and will allow you to look inside. So that you have a good time here and enjoy your rest with full sips with us.
In the region called Horehronie, under Urban Hill, find for a while and create your second home. Or you don't even have to. We took care of it for you. You just choose a date, decide which cottage you like the most and come. You will be fine. Even sitting in that swing in the living room, from where you will have a view of the Horehronie world.
The 3 inseparable sisters of the bandit Urban stand around each other. And they have a common yard. No fences between them. So maybe new friends are hanging out from your neighbors. The cottages are the same on the outside, as is the case with triplets. The division is the same: on the lower floor combined into one open unit kitchen with dining table and living area. On the upper floor there are 3 double bedrooms with quality mattresses. Make you sleep well. Outwardly, what they have in common. But character ... everyone has a different one.
Cottage 1 - dreamy, full of white colors with elements of boho style. Such a lady or a fairy dancing on moonlit nights in a meadow.
Cottage 2 - industrial style complemented by metal and solid wood is not foreign to you? So bet on your second sister with the courage of a fearless Amazon and you have your heroine.
Cottage 3 - is like a fairy wild girl. Equipped to make you feel like you are outdoors in nature. Natural tones, materials and also wooden animals on the floor, which protect the little ones at night.
Every single cottage, whether you are in 1, 2 or 3 has a kitchen. Surprise! I'm sorry, we like to joke, but our kitchens are nice and practically furnished. Milo, because the kitchen is part of the lower floor of the house with living room and dining table. You cook together, you drink coffee together, you sing and dance together while you cook. May you be happy. You can also sit on the terrace and if you want to eat from the fire or grill, in the garden by the houses there is a common gazebo with seating and a fireplace. And did we mention that you will find wine from Vinár's wife in our cottages?
And if you don't want to cook, we add an exhaustive list: in Čierny Balog you can have a good lunch, for example, in the Lampáreň restaurant by the Černohronská railway, you can also find something fast in the Vydrovské open-air museum or order pizza from the Hallo pizzeria or the Barbaricum pizzeria in Brezno. You will eat very well in the Red deer hotel, where they really care about good cuisine. Look for local products and specialties that you will not taste elsewhere in the Hotel Zerrenpach. Excellent cuisine awaits you in Hotel Partizán. Treat yourself to mutton specialties, delicious dumplings and legendary buns during the trip to the Zbojská Chalet. If you have a taste for home-made Slovak cuisine, we also recommend Koliba pod orechom or Motorstop Zadné Hálny. Homemade craft beer will be tapped in Villa Ďumbierka in Mýto pod Ďumbierom.
Haven't you been to Horehronie yet? So pack up and come to us, preferably for more than just a few days. In the Low Tatras, for all romantics, active and good-species, for big and small. So let's start with the traditional thing that never gets tired - the Čiernohron Railway. Speech is a narrow gauge forest railway built in 1908. At the time of its greatest glory, it was almost 132 km long. Today there are a little less of those km, but steam locomotives still run here during the summer holidays. In the evening, set aside time to ride in astrovlaku with night sky observation. Whether one of your stops will be Vydrovo with a forest open-air museum, Telgárska loop with viaducts or Dobročský forest. And if you like fun and non-traditional things, try it on bike paths with your own foot drive.
All cycling lovers will also be pleased, as there are 76 marked cycling routes in the Horehronie region - from the lighter ones, suitable for families with children to the demanding ones (you can find more tips here: https://cyklo.horehronie.sk/). For all those who prefer to wander on their own, we recommend good shoes and just choose your own direction. The surrounding nature does not disappoint - Muránska planina, caves, original nature trails. Or do you want to cross the Hucul Highway on horseback?
And winter - opposite us, on the hill, there is a small ski resort and when you crave bigger ones, Chopok is still here. Ski slopes, cross-country trails, alpine trails, free ride zones ... Do you already dream of your own plans?
What’s there for children?
A good yard will entice them to run outside in almost any weather. And if, in addition to you, there are other families with children in other cottages, new friends will be found quickly. And they will take care of the fun together themselves. Anyway, if you want to go on a trip, try walking around, the nearer and the more distant. However, do not forget to go on a tour of the Montenegrin railway with them. She always has some surprises and an interesting action at hand. Of course, and let's not forget Prdimuch's vampire room in Horná Lehota. There they will also have fun. After all, who wouldn't want to meet a single Slovak vampire and solve mysterious tasks?
